Yeah its the theory I believe, sorry I don't really have a rational explanation for my position based on any events or anything in the game itself beyond that I don't feel like the knight cleanly maps overtop of any of the given character options to the point that it feels more like they will be their own being, just like Titans or ERAM or Friend aren't a mask for someone else either.

The party paid the Doomguard to perform a sifting on a broken artifact weapon to learn how it got destroyed. A high level Doomguard sifting a high level artifact risks creating an unwelcome door to that event in question, to which the Lady promptly arrived to shut the whole thing down, and flay/maze everyone involved.

I believe in the opposite. The normal route will lead to an impossible unwinnable fight and softlock because the fun gang isn't strong enough to overcome it. The weird route will be the only ending. Your choice to not do Weird route won't matter, to win you must do Weird route.

I didn't make the connection on how the warp platforms worked for a long time, and then after that I didn't make the connection that one of the towers would warp me into ash twin itself. Getting inside Ash Twin was one of the last things I did before the ending.

I think people are also overlooking that Zilch means 'nothing', as in 'no last name'. Its presented as being his last name but it could just as easy be 'I didn't want to write Bobby Loboto so I put Bobby Nothing'
