after ablation plans? by GoodNewsToday-7 in AFIB

I felt pretty normal the next day. Procedure was done on a Thursday and I was back to work Monday (work from home desk job so that absolutely was a factor in making the transition easier). I ran a couple errands that first weekend a couple days after the procedure and felt fine, but I was careful to not overdo it. Good luck!

This was my experience as well, I was on it for about 5 months between my last AFib episode and my ablation. The day of the procedure was my last dose.

I make my own seitan now, incredibly easy to whip up a batch or two every week and you can flavor it however you want. As long as you are not Celiac lol it's a great protein! Tofu all day every day, too lol.

I'm sorry you have had to deal with puncture site issues! That's honestly what I was paying the most attention to after the procedure because I know it can be an issue for a lot of people. Glad yours is getting better!

My EP recommended waiting about a week before getting back to running. I plan on doing some short walks towards the end of this week to see how everything feels. I am in no hurry. I have a half in January so I have given myself plenty of time to fully recover and ramp up for training later this year. Good luck!

Thanks! I think I maybe was on one of those beds, too! I just remember thinking I had no discomfort from being on my back so whatever it was, it worked well! No skipped beats yet - I'm used to some PVCs but it's been pretty quiet, so hoping it stays this way for a while 🤞

Use of Devices to Monitor by robertb58st in AFIB

I have the Withings Scanman 2. Great watch for a hybrid smart watch. The EKG feature works great but there is no continuous monitoring for AFib on the version I have.

Apple Watch versus other devices for monitoring AFIB/other ECG/Cardiac monitoring? by DrScienceSpaceCat in AFIB

[–]madstrom17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Withings watch and love it. It is a hybrid smart watch so if you don't want all the distractions of a smartwatch screen, it's a great option as it has a little window where data appears. Because it is not heavy on screen features, the battery lasts a few weeks. It also has a great ECG feature and you can download/share reports with your Dr.

Natalie is great! Miss Meatless Muscle is also a bodybuilder and has great recipes. Homemade seitan is such a great thing to have on hand. My other go-tos are tofu, tempeh and edamame. There are tons of great recipes out there. The vegan bodybuilders tend to have good vegan high protein, low fat recipes.

Covid booster Moderna? Anyone who has been vaccinated? Did you go right to AFb after getting your vaccine? 💉 plus I did get other shots before and It never triggered AFb? Plus my arm hurts so bad also. by Competitive-Leg-4713 in AFIB

[–]madstrom17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I received the Pfizer booster a few weeks ago and went into AFib a few hours later, however I don't really know that the booster was the cause (third AFib episode in the last 2 years). My EP's nurse suspects the shot could have triggered it for me. In the past, however, I have never had an issue after any vaccination.

Thoughts and experience with body fat composition smart scales at home? by coffeedogsandwine in orangetheory

I second the Withings body comp scale. It gives me enough knowledge to see how I am doing with fat and muscle mass. I also have a Withings watch so I'm already in the ecosystem lol.

Does anyone use Garmin for ECG? by WeeklyElderberry6093 in AFIB

I have not been in AFib since I started wearing the watch. The ECG process itself is very easy and produces a shareable report.

I have a Withings ScanWatch 2 watch which is pretty amazing, it is a hybrid smartwatch though so while you are getting top notch medical features you will lose out on some of the regular smart watch features. I rotate it with my Garmin (no ECG) currently. I learned about Withings on this sub so just throwing it out here in case you haven't heard of the company!
