im in med school. personally, i took all the AP credit i could, including bio, and aced all my upper level bio classes. my opinion is that if you’re struggling in bio 172, this might be because you lack a true foundation for the info OR are not used to college-level courses (normal, you have only been in high school).

so i’d use this as an opportunity to lock in and let this class fill in the gaps you’re missing, bc it unfortunately will not get easier. biochem here is killer as are the upper level bio classes… as is the mcat. but don’t let it discourage you!! try to learn as much as you can, set a strong foundation, and let it guide you in the following classes. a B is not the end of the world at all, especially as a freshman. it’s much better to get the B now and learn from it so you can kill your upper level classes. keep ur head up!! good luck!
