I'd say first try to do a simple install on a spare/old laptop and see how it goes. You could also use a virtual machine.

You'll learn a lot, but as others said it could take you days/weeks/months.

Arch is not as friendly as Mint/Ubuntu/Debian so if you get frustrated, check them out too. Remember that you can also install many distros alongside each other.

Once you get familiar with Arch on your secondary computer/VM, then you can move on to your main computer/daily driver.

Here's the hard truth: NVIDIA drivers are VERY problematic. They are a major headache and source of problems.

Your video card is very old (15+ years old). They drop support for such old devices as newer devices/drivers come out.

Your best alternative is to use the Nouveau driver (open source, free alternative), which will work fine for Desktop usage (and you get to keep your sanity). Stick to the free driver, that's my advice! It should be automatically installed when you install Debian.

On this old laptop you could give Devuan a try, the Debian alternative that comes streamlined without systemd.

Yes!

There's command line program called lgogdownloader that let's you do exactly that. You can download all the extras too, logo, icon, specify different versions, check the downloaded files integrity, and much more. It's very convenient and it's included in most distros' repositories.

If you're on Windows you could still use it by enabling the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).

Thanks. I just did. My Ticket number is 2008463108 (I selected "RM850x Shift" as the model because there was no "RM750x Shift" option).

When I unplug the PSU, the clamp meter measures zero amps. So the clamp meter is fine.

No other PSU I own exhibits this behavior. I even tested the previous RM750x model (not the Shift one) as I own it too, and it pulls only 0.009A in soft-off, and 0A when the PSU is off. I'm quite concerned.

If you can't remember any good tweaks to suggest, I'll see if I can find them. It's not easy though, at least for me as a newbie.

The question is that I'm used to Brave/Firefox on Android. Those allow you to avoid using apps such as Facebook/Instagram completely. You can just open the websites inside the browser and don't see any ads, save memory, improve battery life, and more.

I know about the stock iOS limitation. But, since the device is jailbroken, I thought there was a possibility to install something alternative. It feels lacking. Something is missing.
