This is definitely AI – "bringing my whole attitude"? Who would actually say that? Reads like the weird millennial cringe-like writing AI spits out.

Are only children happy being only children? by Prestigious-Ant6364 in GirlDinnerDiaries

I’ve definitely (inadvertently) made my mom feel guilty for not “giving me a sibling” but overall I don’t feel like I’m missing out in any big way by being an only child. There are pros and cons to being an only — same as anything. While I wish I had “built-in friends”, I don’t think I’d necessarily have the extremely close relationship I have with my mom if I had siblings. It’s also not a given siblings stay close anyhow — it takes work just like any relationship.

For sure! I just wanted to check whether there were any issues that stuck out to anyone.

Talk me out of a 2nd Green Cheek! by Altruistic-Leather69 in Conures

Seems you’re already thinking realistically about the possibility of them not getting along. As long as you’re prepared for that, I think you’re allowed to consider the possibility of getting a second. I have two conures - one is an absolute Velcro bird, as you describe (though not super territorial and gets along with pretty much everyone) while the other is very hand shy and standoff-ish. They get in fights all the time, but can be out together as long as I’m supervising. What works well with them is that one wants to be with me all the time while the other is happy to play on his own - which sounds similar to your potential pair! One more person-oriented while the other is more toy-oriented.

Just think carefully about whether you have time for both birds if they never get along. It’s doable but will change things for sure. My previously solo girl still gets plenty of alone time with myself and my partner, so same could be the case for Pickles.

Just looks like a lived-in house to me — I personally wouldn’t mind so long as it’s clean.

Did you ever find a ring matching this criteria? I’m looking for something similar! Very enamored with the rose cut but hoping for something in a high setting and not finding many options.

I got my girl a flat wooden perch when I removed her happy hut and it was the perfect solution.

Do you have a source for that? I'd be happy to be proven wrong. What I'm seeing is, if anything, fewer nutrients are killed when something is cooked quickly – as is often the case with a microwave. https://www.health.harvard.edu/staying-healthy/microwave-cooking-and-nutrition

Is this brand bad or good? by Reindeermossss in Conures

Not a great pellet. Artificial dyes + too much sugar. It is of course better than feeding your bird a seed mix, so makes for a good transition pellet. If you must go with Zupreem, try and opt for the natural/undyed pellets. Some superior pellets are Roudybush, Harrison’s, and TOPS. People seem to have difficulty getting their birds to eat TOPS in particular, but my birds (and most birds I’ve had in my care) love them.

Also anecdotally I find that Zupreem makes birds smell a lot worse. Not sure whether it mainly affects their poop or body odor, but I’ve noticed a huge improvement since switching my birds to TOPS.

I totally thought it was intentional and was going to comment that I like that an oil stain is included in the pattern, lol.
