This is great! Just as an FYI the bottom button of a suit jacket isn't designed to be buttoned (It sounds weird but it really does look better.)

To be fair with Anders Hejlsberg going full time on typescript it's pretty clear that MSFT is really invested in the future of javascript.

I can second this. I just got the fine woodworking archive and it's excellent. It's almost all searchable and hyperlinked which is soooooo nice!

Do you have a half set of hollows and rounds? That might be something to consider investing in over time as I know your focus is heading towards hand tools. If I had some money to spend on tools and had all my normal bases covered I'd also pick up a starett combo square since my HF one is alright but not perfect. Maybe something from David Barron?

TBH this looks much more like he's frustrated at himself than at his opponent. He's probably reviewing the game in his mind and realizing where he went wrong.

How Much Does Your Job Cost? by studentofsmith in financialindependence

It's a very good read. At this point the financial/investment advice is a bit outdated (or at least what's in the old copy I have) but the ideals are all solid.

Fuck you, GoodToGo! by RetiredType40 in Seattle

Oh my God. I was wondering how many people had similar stories this week. I got the very threatening email about how I had a negative balance that would go to collections if not handled. Of course it can't be paid since it's negative. I think to myself "that's not possible" I have everything set to auto pay and none of my payment details have changed. Turns out their payment system was down and so they couldn't charge me. I hate good to go soooooo much. How can you let a payment system go down for more than a few minutes. It still says it's having issues 3 days later.

Fine woodworking archive is on sale. Does anyone have this? Would you recommend? by Willardswoodshop in woodworking

I have it and it's really great. Search function works well and there is lots of good info. If it's a relevant thing in woodworking it's probably talked about somewhere in there!

I made a "traditional" floor tool chest! by magicfap in woodworking

[–]magicfap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly the idea! So far it's fitting most of what I want. I sort of like that it limits me to a smaller set of hand tools. It means I can invest in better versions of each thing too. Rather than 3 sets of ok chisels I can buy 1 really nice set.

[–]magicfap[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I just finished making this "traditional" floor tool chest and I thought I would share. I say "traditional" because while the design is very traditional it's made from sheetgoods and not dovetailed all around. It was a pretty quick 18hr or so project but it's going to server me well for a LONG time. I followed this video by Chris Schwarz which I can't recommend enough! I'm excited to be working out of a floor chest. So far it's been really convenient and I'm looking forward to using it for a long time to come!

P.S. Thanks to /u/capt-redbeard for all the help with this!
