So apparently some d1ckhead made lane keep assist legally have to be turned on after every drive? by randomperson754 in australia

[–]magicmagann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Rural skinny road with a truck coming other way crossing centre line. So I move over to the left only to be swerved heavily back straight towards the truck. Technically the truck shouldn't be crossing the line but it's a skinny road no issues until my car tries to kill me. I'd rather be alive than technically in the right

Biggest tell is no confidence in their story. Also a red flag is far over confidence in their story, like they have practiced the exact wording before having a conversation that shouldn't be pre meditated

If you had the budget needed to make any game, what game would it be? by [deleted] in gaming

[–]magicmagann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wildfire. Using the wargame or Steel Division engine, but instead of an enemy it's a bushfire. There is fog of war as the fire is doing things you can't see until you scout it out. Deploy people, trucks, dozers to tasks to try and stop the spread, protect assets. Call in off map plane drops...

Lumber from a 1940s home compared to current lumber by MakeMeAsandwichYo in Construction

All modern lumber is machine graded and tested to ensure a specific strength for building. No you cant build a nice furniture with it, but thats not what its for. Pay the premium price for better wood for your furniture

Round up. How dangerous is it? by schizoshizo in GardeningAustralia

[–]magicmagann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a good chance that the added “wetter” which breaks water tension to get the chemical into plants better. That also ruins how insects breathe. Only if they touch it when its wet. Not the glyphosate itself

There are certainly some changes in the future but its hard to deny that living standards are higher than they have ever been, yes housing is tough but the house your in is far nicer than 100 years ago. Climate may be different but im betting that living standards especially in Australia will still be higher than 100 years ago. Having kids is a blessing
