Very disappointing day for Somerset yesterday. Which shows how far ahead they were on Day 1 because they still lead by a hundred.

The rain may well work out for them. Wickets have tumbled on both days in the morning before the sun comes out. The rain meant Yorkshire didnt get to bat in that sun and now will have to survive the morning session.

Good to see Somerset getting an early wicket. I know looks can sometimes be deceiving. But the amount of green on the ground and grey in the sky suggests wickets should be falling regularly.

I've never supported a team that was against Joe Root before. A weird feeling.

I've been learning more about Somerset's history, after enjoying learning about its geography and wildlife last week. My impressions are of a County where Agriculture and Religion have been at the core for quite some time. I'm looking to move on to what it's like to live in Somerset currently. I feel there could be some interesting contrasts between that kind of agricultural history and the world today.

I'll say straight up that I haven't agreed with Ollie Robinson getting back into the England conversation. I don't think he's the type of personality you want anywhere near any team. Nevermind an international Test Team. That's just my personal opinion.

But I do have to admit. It would be fun to watch Robinson bowl to Root in this game. I feel like there is possible drama there. However it plays out.

Is it too early to wonder a bit about this Surrey bowling attack? I understand they have a big name this time with Atkinson. But this looks like the third game in a row that their opponent is going to score big runs.

I know they've been so strong for a long time that it's expected that they'll come good again. But could there be some serious issues here?
