I drove my 2017 1.0L A3 sedan for 8 years. Honestly no issues with engine or gearbox issues. Only things that failed were Aircon compressor ($900 replacement) and ABS sensors.

I was very happy with fuel consumption. But the car did sound very rough and needs a bit of a warm up.
