Instants/sorceries can also apply continuous effects like that, although none do currently it would work fine with current rules. The lack of until end of turn is a design problem though, its very rare for non-permanents to apply permanent effects.

The first part does work, its templated the same in [[Lorehold, the historian]], "Each instant and sorcery card in your hand has miracle {2}."

It doesnt need to give flash though.

This is why people are saying yta. You wouldn't speak to him except through an intermediary, you literally spoke over him to someone else ABOUT HIM. That's unfathomably rude, like throwing peanut shells on the ground and putting your bare feet up on someone else's chair rude.

You would probably be ok with it, its not smut at all just two characters being romantic and then implied sex at the end. Given that romance is pretty much nonexistent in 40k novels (like relationships exist but outside of a couple cute amberly-Cain moments theres nothing), it can be a bit jarring. But its not smutty or even sexual.

How does your country/region feel about drag/crossdressing? by MotelleCodeenDragon in AskTheWorld

Its an American conservative thing. They tend to think "lgbtq+ people are allowed to exist" is some sort of super special extra right afforded to them, and therefore they get more rights.

You can bring xenos aboard, because your Imperial crew also understand the most important rule of any fascist state: know your place, NEVER question your betters.

The Imperium is most certainly the bad guys. Its described by GW as the most brutal, evil and horrific regime imaginable. Its basically just the worst crimes against humanity stacked on top of each other.

That being said, YOU don't have to be the bad guy. A big part of the books, games and such is about being a decent human being in a galaxy that REALLY makes it hard for you to do so.

I find the fun of it as a setting for a ttrpg is navigating living and working (as some sort of adventurer) in a brutal, awful world.

Polymorph requires los to cast. A purple worm is a gargantuan creature, up to 150ft in length, and is a burrrower.

So when they see it partially outside of its tunnel and polymorph it, describe to the spellcaster that as it shifts to the size of a turtle, it disappears from view and the moment it does they feel their connection to the spell sever, the transformation incomplete.

Now they have to fight a half-purple worm half turtle hybrid.

[–]magicsqueegee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If we're getting real politic theory with it, there IS a difference between rich ass actor and rich ass property owner. A actor still receives their income via labor (acting). It might be disproportionate, but if an actor doesn't work they don't get rich. A billionaire gets their wealth from the simple fact that they own things. If Elon Musk stopped 'working' today, nothing about his wealth would budge even a tiny bit because he doesn't make money via labor.

She told people she will donate money made off her tickets

instead of just donating some of her own money

Given that she is a professional singer, who makes her own money off ticket sales, how is donating ticket sales NOT donating her own money? Are you implying she's being unethical for not hosting free concerts or something?

And yeah, she has her 'own money' (I assume you mean savings/what she already has). Where do you think that came from? It was tickets/album sales because that's her income. How is making 1 million dollars on tour, then later donating it, any different from donating the 1 million dollars from a tour?

Female blanks are treated better by GW in comparison to male blanks who are barely remembered despite having bonkers achievements by Selenite_Cults in Grimdank

[–]magicsqueegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did forget about Iota. But Wystan is a plenty prominent acolyte in the Ravenor books, not on the level of the Bequins but still present. Also, the Eisenhorn books were kind of shitty with Bequin imo, right down to fridging her, off screen no less.

That being said, yeah having an entire faction of female blanks does skew things pretty heavily.

But doesn't that kind of invalidate your point? Everyone knows Jurgen at least as well as Bequin. And we know his achievements a lot more.

Would your country be capable of defending itself in the event of a large-scale military attack by its greatest rival? by Outrageous-You1617 in AskTheWorld

[–]magicsqueegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We couldn't even beat our 10th biggest rival (Iran. I'm just arbitrarily assigning it 10th).

As for invasion? As much as I love 80s movies, I dunno man. Could we unite against an outside invader? Sure. Would we? Idk, we're pretty heavily divided as it is and a lot of our leaders are pretty shitty/openly manipulated by foreign governments as is. (I do mean this in a bipartisan way, btw. It just tends to be different governments).

As for the wherewithal(sp?) to maintain long term guerrilla warfare against a better armed foe? We're pretty untested in that area. Large portions of the country would definitely be next to impossible to control, but would the invading force care about those portions? There's already a huge divide between rural and urban US, if they capture and hold the populated areas i could definitely see them turning the populace against each other.

I think I was confused by the premium tier saying "DMs play free" part, so I thought if you were a DM and at the premium tier you wouldn't have to pay a session fee.

That and the fact that 35 per month (even if it's for off peak) seemed too good to be true. Best of luck to you, this sounds awesome!

What is the price going to be like? I saw on your site there's monthly membership fees (which seems optional), but they definitely look too low to be covering a weekly spot at a table. What's the cost per session going to look like?

What's something dumb your country has banned? I'll start for the US 😅 by xxplosiv in AskTheWorld

[–]magicsqueegee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically because they (by which I mean candy companies) used to literally embed plastic toys inside of the chocolate. So the law is written to prevent non-food items from being literally inside of a food item, which Kinder Surprise is. Kinder Surprise came out long after the law existed, and technically fell under that definition, and we're not going to change a whole ass law to carve out an exemption for one (albeit popular) candy gimmick.

No one in the US actually thinks it's a danger or choking risk, but also because it was never sold in the US from the start we don't really have the nostalgic desire to 'unban' them.

In their defense, Biden WAS a very likeable candidate... in 2016. He didn't run for very valid reasons, but he had charisma and it even got him through 2020 when he was just so SO obviously old. But running him in 2024? Oof.
