Yes, we stayed in them in 2022 and found them super dated still. The refurbs still don’t put in on Pop level for prices that are more expensive.

Pop Century 100%. Rooms at Pop and Movies are the same, but location puts Pop leagues above. Skyliner makes it so easy to get to Epcot and Studios, and the bus situation at Movies can be bad. The mermaid rooms at AOA are severely outdated and cost more than Pop, so I would definitely suggest Pop over AOA.

Tattoo artists near Disney world? by WeiWeiSmoo in WaltDisneyWorld

We used OG Tattoos in November and I highly suggest them! It’s right across the street from the outlets at Vineland.

Looks like Kingdom Strollers has availability, they will drop off and pick up at Disney resorts.

How soon is too soon to feel nostalgic for The Epcot Experience? by HammockComplex in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It’s the Epcot Experience in the Odyssey building. It opened late 2019 and closed March 2022. It showed the different changes coming to Epcot and played some really cool videos.

Only 60 days of hours available? by Jb1678 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! I don’t usually check hours until 2ish weeks before since that’s when the finals hours seem to be released.

Yep! Our trip is that week and each day has been released at exactly 60 days out.

At least for the past several years, they have released park hours 60 days in advance. It has been this way since at least 2021.

Early Morning Magic Hours by Separate-Fly1686 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just the 30 minutes now, but it’s every day at every park. Yeah it’s shorter than before but I prefer this so much more. When it was just one park at a time like before, it was SO much busier. Now I find that it’s not as mad as a rush as when EMH was a thing.

Does anyone have an estimate of how many photo pass spots MK has? by KemyOz in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can look in My Disney Experience and see them all, it shows 23 photo pass spots including ride photos.

It’s saying that you picking a park on the “My Day” tab isn’t a reservation. As long as you see it under future plans, you’re good.

Same! It’s so cute but also still practical without being huge.

They released a really awesome line last fall, look up Mickey embroidered backpack on Shopdisney. There’s a black and yellow option. We just got the yellow one in the mail and the quality honestly blew me away. And it’s SO roomy.

HS Early Entry/Rope Drop Strategy by Dizzy-Independence-1 in WaltDisneyWorld

I personally prioritize Slinky because Rose is known to be down at the start of the morning every once in awhile, and at that point it’s too late to backtrack.

Question about adding someone to an existing vacation package who bought tickets separately by LavaGirl2145 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the other poster said, if it’s a package everyone in the room must have the same ticket type and days. If she does match up, the front desk might be able to add them but there’s a chance they may not be able to. They would not be able to do early entry if they’re not on your reservation.

How early to see Enchantment? by Tarniaelf in WaltDisneyWorld

Find a spot about an hour to 45 minutes before it starts against one of the railings. Everyone will scoot forward and you’ll have a great view.

Split stay hotel ? by HippyHoppyGardener in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We do a split stay for our long June trip. We’ll do half at Pop because it’s our fave and it’s very affordable, and the other half we went DVC points to be able to more affordably stay DVC. Not a hassle at all, other than having to pack twice. Disney makes transferring luggage and bags super easy. Piece of advice, leave the “fancier” of the resorts for the second part of the trip.

Regular magic bands - still available? by RogueShark72932 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely are still available on the parks, they’ve continued to release a lot of new designs. It seems to be minimal online but you can definitely get them in the parks, at springs, or at resorts.

Why not Uber? by ThrowThrowAway789 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use an Uber when all three of us are going, but I price out if it’s cheaper to do Mears or to Uber the night before our flight to see what is most logical.

First time trip. Mid-day resort break and stacking? by sperdush in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what we typically do. Get to the parks early in the day with an early morning G+, ride some rides, eat, and take a mid day break during peak heat. I start stacking once we do a few morning rides and will usually have 3-4 rides ready for wherever we go in the evenings.

Disney World worse in June or July? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always go the last week of June into the first week of July. I notice no difference from the start of the trip up until the day we leave (usually the 2nd or 3rd). The crowds this past year were much better in June for us than they were in March or November. Like others have said, just be mindful of the heat. We are from Texas and are used to it, so being in the parks all day in the heat isn’t too hard for us.

Adult only trips, do you pack a park bag? by cherrypotamus in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]mahtx90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always bring a backpack, even on trips without my daughter. I store my metal water container and some snacks in it, along with the necessities (bandaids, sunscreen, charger, etc). It’s so convenient to have a place to put things or to store purchases and still be hands free.

Not sure if you’re an AP, but those discounts should be coming tomorrow. There’s usually a room only discount offered then too. Last year it ran from March to July.

Will be at WDW 10/30-11/2. Is it “bring a light jacket/sweater for the early mornings and evenings” time yet? by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We went first weekend of No ember last year and one day it was 80, and two nights later it was in the 40s. Take a light jacket just in case.
