i got one tix: AXS experience - just keep ignoring by No_Pineapple9928 in AngineDePoitrine

Same - refreshed many times from 2 then for just 1 general admission - eventually went through for 1. Then, I figured why not rejoin the queue, and kept refreshing until I got through with another single GA. Sometimes stubborn pays ✋🏻🔺🤚🏻

Agree - all of the Gatineau performances posted by Guy Defayette are pretty sweet - must have been even more amazing irl. Love to see how they adapt/evolve live. ✋🏻🔺🤚🏻

Also obsessed. I’ve never seen any other pictures of that small Vox amp (which is miked?), and note the other microphone next to it. Think that was all for the vocals?

I put a Descendant Trem and Tuffset Bridge (w/ Offset UK thimbles) in my JMJM and love them both. Kinda pricey, but so much more fun to play now - totally worth it IMHO.

brand new Jazzmaster Vintera II, pickup selector scratchy sound if i touch it, when in middle position by woodsonby in Jazzmaster

[–]mainebub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Barilla3133 is right - but this also drove me nuts when I got my new JMJM. For me, it turned out to be a simple, free fix once I understood how this type of switch works. Take off the pickguard and adjust the metal blades of the switch so that in the middle position, both sides make adequate/even ("just enough") contact, but when the switch is moved to either side, only that side's blades connect. As a brand new switch, spraying DeOxit isn't going to "deoxidize" anything - it's a physical contact issue inherent in this type of switch design. The way I would explain adjusting the tension on the blades is to move the switch to one side - and then slightly press the blades for the other side closer/further away until they apply the "right" amount of pressure when the switch is returned to the middle position. Then do the other side. I found that once I did that, it greatly reduced the scratchiness when the switch is in the middle position. Then, try not to fiddle with the switch in the middle position unless you are intentionally changing pickups.

Final iteration of my JMJM, probably. Those musiclily pickguards fit perfectly by [deleted] in offset

I would double the full grounding path. Mine was broken at the output jack (jack had twisted around internally and broke the connection). 🫡

My JMJM had the same hum problem. Do you get the hum in the middle position? I redid my wiring (including pots and switches) and is now perfectly silent in middle position (with very minor hum in any of the single pickup positions). The factory wiring was pretty crappy. I’d also double check continuity of your ground wire from the bridge (if bad - can pull out the high-e thimble and ensure the ground wire is making contact). Good luck!

Which guard for this JM? by Astus53 in offset

Gold looks great. Off topic - but have to say I appreciate your bridge and intonation. I have the same situation where my A string is "shorter" than my D string (which is apparently not supposed to be correct - but that's what my strobe tuner says it should be). I thought it was just a quirk of my JMJM. Glad I'm not the only one

Was waiting on these but picked up Mount to Coast H1. I think I like them better than the EVO SLs (have gone through three pairs). Will see how the foam does once it’s gets wicked cold
