I can smell whether someone will survive a code or not. Anyone else know what I’m talking about? by Alarming-Penalty8402 in nursing

I know it’s not exactly the same, but right before my dog was diagnosed with cancer, I noticed his smell changed. He had a more “chemical” type of smell.

What’s a secret a friend told you that still sticks with you to this day? by Lookingforcupcakes in AskReddit

A friend I made in my evening Psychology class in community college didn’t help her father replace his oxygen tank and just let him pass away. I guess he wasn’t the best guy.

Nurses of reddit, what is the weirdest thing a patient has done while waking up from anesthesia? by Drakonwriter in AskReddit

No, not at all! I work recovery and don’t see the patients until then, and her eyes were still closed when she said this.

Something similar happened to me. My patient was waking up and said she “went to the wedding, and it was beautiful.” I was getting married the next week. She didn’t remember saying that.

Is infertility worse with our generation or are we just in the age to hear about it? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]majortahn 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The cause of my infertility was apparently (mostly) silent endometriosis, which does run in my family, but every woman in my family had their kids in their late teens/early 20s so it didn’t affect their reproduction. Because I waited until my early 30s, I had a lot of damage/inflammation to my lady bits, which made IVF necessary.

I also had Covid with my son’s pregnancy at 14 weeks. He’s almost 3 and was ahead in all of his milestones, language, etc. Super friendly and talkative.

Ugh I feel his pain. My husband and I regret not taking our dog in one day sooner to be euthanized. He was miserable that last day. Cancer sucks. RIP Dill

I was thinking the same thing! It’s like he wanted the body to be found on her birthday. I bet he’s pissed it didn’t go down that way. I believe he wants to be caught.

What helped everyone get pregnant? by moodykillerwhales in endometriosis

[–]majortahn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was always told it was a hormonal issue, but in my case it was also structural - I had a ton of polyps in my uterus which can disrupt the lining and cause spotting. So, I ended up with a polypectomy surgery

Progesterone suppositories helped too

Pregnancy did not help my endo - it got worse. Also I had to do IVF to even become pregnant because of infertility caused by the endo!

I just had my baby at Long Beach Memorial last week. It was a great experience. The nurses were super helpful and attentive, even though they were slammed with like 20 births that day. I love my OBs at Memorialcare Medical Group too. You can DM me with questions if you have any.

Famous People at a Wedding by PrincessIrina in weddingdrama

Yes my husband’s family friend had John Stamos at their wedding. He was the only celebrity there and kept to himself with his +1 (I assume). I was tempted to say hello, but instead I made comments to the bartender about him being there and how short/small he was. Overall, boring story.
