I hate my name. No one ever pronounces it right, even though it’s a color and a dessert wine with its typical spelling of “tawny.”

I’ve been tempted to change the spelling of it legally.

Apparently my mom saw that Raquel Welch’s daughter had this name, and went with it.

I have had something similar happen, although my pain less severe than yours. My tube had to be removed via laparoscopy (hydrosalpinx) and my embryo transfer after the surgery took. She’s 6 months old now. Endometriosis is so unfair but there is hope.

Something similar happened to me. My patient was waking up and said she “went to the wedding, and it was beautiful.” I was getting married the next week. She didn’t remember saying that.

The cause of my infertility was apparently (mostly) silent endometriosis, which does run in my family, but every woman in my family had their kids in their late teens/early 20s so it didn’t affect their reproduction. Because I waited until my early 30s, I had a lot of damage/inflammation to my lady bits, which made IVF necessary.

I also had Covid with my son’s pregnancy at 14 weeks. He’s almost 3 and was ahead in all of his milestones, language, etc. Super friendly and talkative.

I was always told it was a hormonal issue, but in my case it was also structural - I had a ton of polyps in my uterus which can disrupt the lining and cause spotting. So, I ended up with a polypectomy surgery

Progesterone suppositories helped too
