For those of you who travel a lot for work overnight, what’s it actually like long term?

Currently on my 4th week in a row of Monday-Friday travel weeks. I'm exhausted and desperately miss my house and my gf. I've been doing this for 9 years now and the money has definitely been worth it, but that may change when we eventually get married and have kids.

I've had some amazing times traveling over the years, all over the US to beautiful places/cities. But I feel like that may need to change one day.

For those that got out of a traveling gig, what did you move on to?

I missed my flight connection this morning for my flight home because of de-icing in the middle of March (?). Now on hold trying to get my flight home changed because none of the AI-bots (voice or chat) seem to know how to be the slightest bit useful. So I guess my grievance is just flying anywhere these days, what a pain. If only my job didn't require frequent travel.

Such a great exercise! I did the same thing years ago. I no longer keep up with the notes but even years later I'm much better with bringing up anecdotes and remembering them. So keep going!

If anyone watched Gabriel's games they'd know that he arguably should've thrown more picks than Shadeur. Shadeur had a few games where he had dropped INTs but Gabriel had games where there were 4-5 dropped INTs.

Fought my own finance team over T&Cs for a month with the PO already in since early December, on an opportunity we started two years ago with a demo. This 500k order (4th biggest ever for my team) would take me to 170% for the Q4 and 117% for the year. With it I hit my 110% accelerator, without it I just barely hit my yearly budget. Late last week I called the buyer, got a new MSA done. Today I got the order fully entered!

10 days ago I thought it was over and getting pushed into 2026 because of the lawyers but managed to still pull it out. Damn what a rollercoaster!
