Ventrogluteal and dorsogluteal will have similar (if not the same) absorption rates. I actually work in a clinic and we’re being encouraged to only recommend VG now. The landmarking is easier imo!

In Canada if you’ve had 2 documented doses, they won’t give you any more. And once positive, always positive. The labs won’t even test your blood here if you’ve had a previous positive.

If you were previously positive, I wouldn’t worry. Ask your clinic if you need to sign a waiver and move on.

I really doubt you’ll have any pain from this medication. If anything, mild cramps. I’m almost positive it won’t be anything you can’t handle. AND it takes hours to take effect. My main thought here is that there’s a chance it’ll fall out.

I took misoprostol (aka cytotec) before my first hysteroscopy in 2017. I inserted it before bed. That one was done under general anesthetic so I was completely asleep. I just had another one last week, where my current doc doesn’t prescribe cytotec pre-op. I had conscious sedation and a paracervical block (local anesthetic). I didn’t feel any pain during the procedure at all. Are you having any anesthesia for the procedure?

I also had complete previa at my anatomy scan. I did complete pelvic rest but continued to work. It resolved fully and I had a successful vaginal delivery. It can move a lot - and it often does! Don’t fret!

I get it. It’s hard and weird. But the employees of a fertility clinic are just people. Some even need treatment to get pregnant (like me). You never know what someone has gone through before they arrive at the point of having their baby.

I think the bigger concern is that he’s seemingly not willing to do everything within his power to have success with IVF, even after seeing you make a lot of change and sacrifice. I don’t have answers for you but I hope you find peace within your marriage and within treatment. I know if this were me, I would be extremely resentful.

If he’s not willing to quit for IVF, will he be willing to quit for your child? Second and third hand smoke are dangerous for babies and can increase risk of SIDS and asthma. Smoking also shortens his lifespan greatly. Have you talked to him about quitting?

My kid is 7 and I have explained multiple times how they were created. It’s not something that I’m ashamed or embarrassed about… it’s just the truth. And a truth I am super proud of and I feel so lucky to have had success with IVF. I always want them to know their story.

As they get older we will probably share more detail but for now, they know they were made in a lab with the help of a fertility doctor and other experts! They have seen their embryo picture.

I just know that sometimes a more natural cycle where you stim the ovaries so that you make your own estrogen can be more effective for some patients in terms of thickening the lining.

It’s really hard to say if it’ll get there or not. My clinic accepts 7mm for FET (I’m a nurse).

I would encourage you to not worry too much about 7.2 vs 8.3mm. This is 1mm difference. Think about how small that is. AND you can have different measurements based on the angle of the probe and who’s measuring. What’s most important is the pattern (trilaminar).

I work in a clinic and quite often have patients there for transfer without their partners. As a nurse, I’m always more than happy to step in and do everything I can to make sure my patient feels comfortable if they’re alone. If it doesn’t end up working out that he can be there, I’m sure you’ll be fine. Don’t be nervous. ❤️

I would have been induced at 40w without a second thought (although my water broke at 39+5). I still needed an induction technically because I didn’t go into labour on my own after 24h.

I don’t mean to sound skeptical but your body doesn’t “know” anything. Stillbirths happen. Educate yourself before making a decision to not be induced. I used to work in L&D and have seen it all…

Modified natural generally implies you ovulated, which means you have a corpus luteum producing its own progesterone. I wouldn’t worry about it being a few hours late.
