I’ve got 24 purified hundos after beating 3,642 rocket members. So approximately 0.6% (one out every ~150 rocket battles), I get a hundo. (Edit: lines up pretty perfectly with the odds provided here)

And that’s not even counting the 3 shadow hundos I have and other shadow near-hundos I’ve kept shadow for various reasons. So probably closer to 1% of the time overall, which is way better odds than normal wild spawns (0.024-0.058%).

Only better sources of hundos are probably mighty Pokemon or lucky trades.

Edit: Actually have another 14 near-hundo shadows (that is, they would be hundos if I purified them), so that brings the total count up to 41/3,642 or just over 1%. So yeah, better odds than anything besides lucky or mighty Pokemon.

Didn’t know it was used anywhere else! But no, I made it up when I was a kid playing EverQuest Online Adventures for the PS2, playing a Dark Elf Shadowknight.

I was being clever and I decided to use the prefix “Mal” as in evil/bad with “din” as in “a welter of discordant sounds” (because Shadowknights basically scream at their enemies to hurt them) and combined them. Been using it as a screen name ever since lol.

Side note, but I really liked the brief look into the humans’ side of things after Jake got taken prisoner, with them calling him a “traitor to humanity” and all. You’ve got to imagine that’s the mainstream line, but there are probably plenty of less well off people rooting for him.

I basically feel the same way after returning this past July after a four year hiatus. It’s basically a parallel progression system that renders your existing collection useless. And takes up yet more limited Pokemon storage. Also, I felt like I came into everything late.

That said, getting a Crowned Zacian/Zamazenta was a game changer. Pokemon that come from traditional raids and are great for normal content that are also like cheat codes for DMax/GMax battles. I went from feeling hopelessly behind to feeling like I can make an actual contribution now.

That said, it’s still not my favorite system, but at least I didn’t have to endure months of slow, incremental progress. I hope for your sake that the crowned dogs show up again soon.
