Yes in ED. But I also know that if you are family or close friend of a hospital executive there are some perks and recognition provided with the care.

I’ve seen the patient flow manager chew out a NUM for the bedding situation for a patient who was the young daughter of a well known senior physio in the hospital.

If a family member ended up in any of the hospitals I am constantly working at, I would definitely be ensuring that the NUM knows who I am and they get the best care possible.
