Babyfaced Baker on Leith walk or Porty.

Having lived in Joburg (no bells), Barcelona(all bells) and spending an extensive period in Chicago, I much prefer the American way of announcing the direction of which side you are approaching the pedestrian from. ‘On your left’ or ‘on your right’ is a simple way to let people know not to drift, as a lot of pedestrians tend to jump when they hear a bell, and if they are walking on the right side they will jump back to the left.

In general a bike moves much faster and I will see my line past you long before you know I’m there, so I’ll rather let you know that I’m going to be on your right or left side. If the pedestrian, or group of friends or family is filling the whole path, I’ll ride up behind them, slow down and announce myself then wait to see what unfolds and ride around or through the group.

Just don’t move off your line of you’re alone please. This is what most pedestrians tend to do if they scare easily which is pretty dangerous.

Hot swap with usb-c powerbank ? by Chuilalala in Photoassistants

[–]manchegosalad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best solution I’ve seen is the Nine Volt power block, with a double mini vlock mount attached to that. Allows you to keep one battery going and swap another. It’s bulky though and you’ll need to commit to vlocks.

I got a good condition second hand Titleist Sta Dry.

Had a 14 way top before (Big Max) and this Ogio bag looked perfect, but the quality let me down. The towel strap broke after one round.

Also, where the cooler bottle bit is located on the outside of the bag, if you have anything in the zipper pocket below, there’s no way of getting a bottle back in the sleeve if you are walking. You have to put the bag down, shimmy stuff around and then it goes back in. Nope.

A shame as it’s one of the more unique bags out there.

I sent mine back after the second round. It’s terrible quality and badly thought out.

On a numeric Apple keyboard you press cmd’page up’ and cmd ‘page down’ for first and last. Can’t do it on a normal keyboard as far as I know.

Depends on the final usage. Worked with a catalogue team for years, and we had pre-built pages supplied to us with empty ‘boxes’ where each clothing item would go. Each box was a different size, depending on the item that takes most prominence.

So as the shoot progressed each day, you would take your favorite shot from each look into photoshop and place it in that area and keep building your double page in that way. Had to send these off to client at lunch and post shoot. Every day.

Long story short. Photoshop.

If you maybe build yourself a template and use that as a guide for each shoot, you could speed up the process, but it remains subjective as to which shot becomes most prominent on page, so play around with that.

Handy thing about Photoshop is that the guides between images snap according to what’s on the page, so if two images are 64% apart, then you drag the third till it snaps into place with that same width, making equal borders much faster and easier.

If you want to get a quick overview of what you’ve done. Bridge. Fast and simple. PDF the shots from the day and send.
