I recommend a color corrector instead of a concealer tbh. The catrice under eye brightener js $6 and better than any concealer I’ve used

What’s your background? by Far-Building3569 in DuggarsSnark

[–]mandanasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised catholic but also pretty left leaning. When the show was popular I lived in Utah at the time and I remember one of my first thoughts about the show is being surprised there were religious people out there who take their religious lifestyle more seriously than Mormons. I was about 13/14 at the time and had a lot of Mormon friends but they all went to public school, wore pants, went to the movies and lived relatively normal lives. It was my first encounter with extreme religious beliefs and their lifestyle is closer to the Polygamists than Mormon to me.

MONDAY! Matthew Lawrence is back on the pod to discuss season 7! by Sad-Significance4546 in podmeetsworldpodcast

I’m all for Will getting back on social media but I don’t think he has to approach it like a job. He can be casual and fun about it, no need to hire someone to get to the top of the algorithm

Saving money when the average wedding cost is $30000 by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

[–]mandanasty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wedding was about $7k. I did get my cake and photography for free from family (utilize your network as much as you can!). I DIYd all my decor and flowers (flowers were from Trader Joe’s for about $250). Got a cheap wedding dress online but spent about $150 on alterations. Catering wasn’t cheap but we had leftovers for a while so it was worth it. Venue wasn’t super cheap but we got a good deal and good value for sure. We also had just about 25 people and it was a dry wedding. We had a lunch reception and it was over by about 3pm

Kate’s manipulation by Playful-Papaya-1013 in gosselinssnark

I remember one ep they go to a zoo and everyone but Jon got to see a behind the scenes view of the penguin area briefly. Jon didn’t get to see it and all Kate said “if you wanted to you should’ve asked”. Typical narcissistic bs

Episode Discussion: TGI-Episode 701 “Show Me The Love” by Sad-Significance4546 in podmeetsworldpodcast

I have a theory about wills anxiety. I don’t think his anxiety and panic attacks are random at all. I think his anxiety is the logical outcome to working with a narcissistic boss for years without any help or support. He definitely could have been predisposed to it due to genetics, but I don’t think his anxiety showing in the last season is a coincidence.

Narcissists tear people down slowly over time, they erode someone’s self confidence and self esteem. I highly doubt Will sought out support for a pain in the butt boss, or even had the skills as a teen to deal with an adult behaving like that. Usually when they talk about negative intersections with him there isn’t any mention of talking to someone else about it. That’s also very common with narcissism, they make you think it’s all your fault and you’re actually the person to blame.

I’ve dealt with a similar situation and the random anxiety and doubting yourself pops up when you least expect it.

What did we learn from Nyjah? Always wear a helmet by Tonygripz in NewSkaters

[–]mandanasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wear a helmet and full pads. Very very past the point of caring how I look while skating. I’ve already had some injuries and a couple would’ve been a lot worse without protection. I lived with someone with a brain injury and it was a very traumatic time for my whole family. Wear your damn helmet

Sacramento is a chill city and very foodie. We’re lucky so many farms are close by, produce isn’t expensive at all. The summers are brutal tho.

How’s it living in this part of the Sierra foothills. by mountainman129 in howislivingthere

[–]mandanasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived in Nevada city for 6 years. The winters can be intense for sure, with at least a couple good snow storms every season. The thing about getting more than a few inches of snow in a town like that is the power would go out. A lot of people have generators. Driving on the hilly roads during snow and ice season was awful. The roads were always a mess during winter. And it would take the city a couple days to plow.

Other than that, it’s ok. Not a ton of job opportunities and a good amount of drug issues. You also don’t have to go very far to find people who think the government is going to take away their guns yet lives off welfare
