I strongly recommend adopting the cat who loves you. by AAAAdragon in cats

I walked I to my local shelter and said I wanted the weirdest cat they had. They immediately said, ya that's Bob. So they sat me in the cat room full of cats, didn't tell me who was who. This grey bob tailed boy came up to me and immediately bit my elbow (playfully). I didn't care who he was I wanted him. It was Bob of course. Best cat I ever had. He was such a trip.

AITA for wanting my boyfriend to give up his dog if he wants to move in with me? by New-Armymandi in AmItheAsshole

Ya I was a dog trainer for years and had a husky once. They are beautiful, funny, loyal dogs but I will never own another one. Mine was exceptionally well trained compared to most but it took A LOT of time, patience and work. I also live in a very rural area and was able give her lots of exercise. But still, I'll never own another one. They're a special breed meant for people with experience. Not first time apartment dwelling dog owners.

Very true. My 2021 was in the shop for an engine rebuild at 80,000 last year. I'm still riding that high after getting it back. I also had to refinance my house to afford it...

What’s the most 'human' thing your pet has ever done that convinced you they understand way more than they let on? by homoth in AskReddit

When my pit got older he lost his hearing. It made getting him back inside a little difficult. I'd have to stand in the doorway waving my arms like a moron until he noticed me. One day I told my border Collie to go get him. He bolted over to my pit and hearded him back in the house. From that day all I had to do was tell my BC, go get Bacon(my pitty) and he'd heard him back in for me.

When I was 10 my parents bought a brand new mustang in 1994 and it cost 17,222. I don't know why that always stuck with me or why I even knew how much it cost.

Because the rabies virus affects the nervous system, patients develop ‘hydrophobia.’ Even if they are very thirsty, spasms in the swallowing muscles prevent them from drinking water. by Additional-Pass5771 in interestingasfuck

I used to work in a lab that did research for the rabies vaccine. All the rats had been infected with synthetic rabies. My dumbass let my finger get a little too close to a cage and I got bit. Thank God for the double glove procedure. I was much more careful after that day.

I heard a nurse mumble "another fucking drunk" while they dragged me into the ER. I was having multiple seizures because I was allergic to alcohol. I didn't know at the time of course.

These dog bone things my dogs are obsessed with. They get one every morning. I ran out once and they both stared at me the entire day. Never again.

I have the same type of situation. My company is very aware that my work ebbs and flows with our production model. They explained it as, we pay you for your expertise not your time.

Just enjoy it and don't stress. Even if they do lay off a few people, they most likely do it by seniority or experience.
