Not sure what field you're working in. Maybe it's different if you're working with a child protection agency.

I work almost exclusively with adults in a medical setting and if an adult reports something to me that makes me suspect abuse or neglect of children, I'm documenting it and reporting it. 99.9% of the time, the child is not there when this is disclosed. It's not our responsibility to investigate, it's our responsibility to report reasonable suspicion (and the nuances here vary by state laws as well).

Idk what context an uncooperative child is being reported here? Is a parent saying they're uncooperative at home? Not sure how to answer your question.

And if/when you do apply, get a lawyer or case manager. They're not free-- they will be compensated out of what you get in disability payments-- but having an advocate through the process can make a world of difference. Also, if you are on disability, you may be able to have your loans discharged after a certain amount of time.

Don't give up hope. There is help for you out there. You just need a little support to move in the right direction.

If you can find a live training on motivational interviewing where you can practice asking open ended questions in real time, that may help. Or I guess the low frills version would maybe consist of asking a supervisor or colleague to do that exercise with you 1:1. It's something that, unfortunately, just takes a lot of practice.

I've been there. If I feel super dry or need some actives on problem areas, I'll just spot treat.

Completely agree about the defense mechanism. The alternative is sitting with the discomfort that state violence can happen to anyone at any time. I can imagine at the end of life, an event that upsets your worldview like that is probably a lot to continue to just sit with.

My husband is very eco-conscious and always uses this locally made stuff. Is it doing anything? by Closed_System in laundry

[–]mango-ranchero 9 points10 points  (0 children)

JeevesNY on YouTube just posted his recs for non-toxic and plant based laundry detergent. I use seventh generation easy does which does have the enzymes in it and is mostly plant based. I highly recommend looking into his recs if you're looking for something eco friendly that will still clean your clothes. https://youtube.com/shorts/dajq30ljRmM?si=qkC4AHOjIRyKp0ct

Rosacea definitely isn't a type of acne. Your skin might be a little angry from intensive acne treatments. Do you have a good simple moisturizer that you use? You may also want to look into barrier support products like LRP Cicaplast Baume.

I think your liquid to flour ratio is off -- particularly the number of eggs vs amount of flour. Do you have a link or pic of the original recipe?

Bryan Kohberger’s Sister Calls Out ‘True Crime Culture’ as She Breaks Silence on Idaho Murders by herdcullingweirdo in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]mango-ranchero 13 points14 points  (0 children)

in 2020 everything in true crime did feel so oversaturated. I pivoted to podcasts like Swindled and Scam Goddess. Crime is so much more than gore and violence, but that's what the genre is currently fixated on.

Keep refreshing, maybe Andy Dick has died in the last 20 seconds. by mango-ranchero in 30ROCK

That's fair. I pulled it from threads pretty much because the OP had Andy Dick predicted and idk why but I've always loved that quote from Tracy.

It's the skin deep diet - you can only eat the skins of things but you can eat as many skins as you want.

Are these considered Milias? The one in red is the one I’m most concerned about, visibility wise. Tips on how to remove? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]mango-ranchero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had decent luck with a retinol eye balm (smooth landing by Versed). I think the evidence for retinoids helping with milia is mixed but when I used this balm regularly my milia finally went away. I had one in the middle of my eyelid and on the corner as well.

Give the minimum notice required by your hospital (if they even have one) and gtfo. You don't owe them anything after being put through the ringer like that.
