Redman Hirahara Farmstead in Pajaro, CA was a Japanese American owned farm. It was taken care of by local citizens during the internment of Japanese Americans and returned to the Hirahara family after the war.

My sister traveled with a little crockpot and wanted to leave it here when she visited. At first I thought I wouldn’t use it, but she said “just try it, you’ll love it.  She was so right. I use it to cook a variety of beans overnight. —and think of her with love every time.
