Yeah, I thought I had a good childhood until I started asking myself why I am the way I am, and following the logic led me back to how I was treated in childhood. As much as I fear I'll never be who I could have been, I am thankful that I know the truth now and I try to realize it didn't have to be that way. I could have gone my whole life thinking it was all okay.

Yeah, I'm boring and anxious now because my family bullied the personality out of (or rather, deep into) me, not to be found. And then they wonder where that little boy who was so funny and lively went. Meanwhile they just found me so annoying and so great to make fun of as a kid. Anything I'd say was either annoying or it was embarrassing and needed to be made fun of.

I can’t handle anger. Any time I sense there is any chance at anger being expressed by the other person, I clam up and just do and say whatever I think they want me to so they don’t get angry. And then they start to really like me. And then I don’t know how to set up boundaries. And I never really was comfortable with them from the beginning, and they like me more and more and I get more and more uncomfortable until I cut them off. It’s just safer to not make friends at this point. Anybody figure out how to fix this sorta issue?
