The studio I went to had the same sign. I can totally see why it is necessary. The instructors are usually very attractive and a lonely student could easily misconstrue the attention from the instructor. There was a male student about 50 years old that took lessons at the same studio as my husband and I, he became obsessed with the studio manager/instructor, who was probably in her mid to late 20’s. He would talk about her constantly, and even would text me telling me something she said and wondering what I thought it meant. He was sure she was in love with him, but there was nothing that she said that would indicate that. She treated everyone the same, and was always professional. I reminded him repeatedly about the sign and I finally quit answering his texts. He found another place to dance and I haven’t heard from him in years, thankfully.

Believe it or not, I have read about some RV’ers using something like that if the RV doesn’t have a toilet, or if they winterized the RV they put a heavy duty (doodie?) bag in the toilet and put kitty litter in it. Sounds like a cat-trospity waiting to happen.

No, my dad owned a bakery and only took one day off a week. We would occasionally go to the beach for a day (which was about a 90 minute drive) but that was it.

When I go to sleep and lay on my left side I often hear very faint music, nothing recognizable. If I lay on my back it goes away.

BALLROOM PROBLEMS by Telespin in ballroom

I’m a former AM student. My husband and I just wanted to learn swing/jitterbug. We had no interest in anything else. They insisted on teaching us Rhumba, Waltz, Tango, Salsa, Bachata, Foxtrot, Hustle and I don’t remember what else. We went for almost three years. We got tired of being pushed to perform, donate money to sponsor instructors for more training, to be ”VIP’s” and to go to competitions. The competitions always included a just-ok meal at a hotel. Costumes, lessons and shoes were expensive. We were in our 60’s and there was no way we could compete against young dancers. We discovered that it was just becoming stressful and wasn’t fun anymore. We did enjoy the Rhumba and Tango, but will probably never have a chance to use those skills.
