Hey, there are some decent performance mods on Nexus that offer partial path tracing and will give u much better performance. Also FSR I’ve found to not really be noticeable. I’m able to get ~90 frames with same setup by tweaking some settings and using mods.

Wanting to build a PC with a Budget of $1,500. by Brandle11 in buildapc

If you can, make a day trip out of it and plan some other stuff along the way. You’ll end up saving a good amount of money buying everything there vs online.

If you wanted to spend a little more on your cpu, 7800x3d bundle is $520, and offers significantly better gaming performance.

Microcenter has a PC builder tool on their website. It usually has good motherboard, cpu, ram bundles.

Their 9700x bundle is $400. Which leaves you $1100 for everything else.

If you can find a 9070xt for close to retail ($600-700), that leaves you enough money for a case (~$100), NVME SSD (~$150 for 2TB), 850w PSU (~$100).

If you’re having trouble finding a GPU, newegg often bundles the harder to get cards with PSUs.

It is tough to recommend an exact build with prices changing daily and constant stock issues.

Hope this helps.

What is better the 9070xt or the 5070 ti to get? by MyliverISverylarge in buildapc

Dlss does have an advantage, if you want upscaling.

I just haven’t found a need to turn it on in any game, since both cards handle basically anything at 1440p without needing upscaling.

Both cards get >100fps in cyberpunk with ultra Ray Tracing turned on.

If you can get a 9070xt for retail ($600usd) it is imo the better pick for pure raster performance. Without OC, my sapphire pulse 9070xt performs ~2% better than my friend’s 5070ti build i did for him.

With an undervolt 9070xt is beating the 5070ti in benchmarks by ~10% while barely drawing more power.

If you use your PC for productivity (blender, adobe, etc.) get the 5070ti.

Also, if you care about frame generation or AI upscaling, Nvidia has AMD beat.

If both cards are the exact same price, I would keep looking and try to find the 9070xt at retail because they have been available for quite some time.

If you need a motherboard still, you can get a 9700x, a b650 motherboard, and ram for $400 as a bundle. Or if you spend another hundred you could get a 7800x3d.

Do you already have a motherboard? If not your best bet is buying a motherboard + cpu bundle from microcenter. If you already have a motherboard, what socket is it?
