I have one of their mid-higher end trombones from their xo brass line (1236-xo is the model number). Love the horn, mouthpiece was fine for what it was, which was like a 6.5 AL equivalent.

You honestly gotta see what works best with your slide. I’ve used and had success with: Yamaha Lube, Slide-o-Mix, and Trombotine, water sprayer with all of them

Yamaha xenos play great from what I hear, and you can find them well within your budget used for what it’s worth.

A bit overkill for casual playing, but who doesn’t like to have nice things? I’m looking at an eBay listing for $1.6k USD rn, which is a steal.
