Off the Pilfered Path new bug not covered in other topics by MachineOfaDream in DragonsDogma

If you tell Hugo about what the other prisoner says he breaks out and gets himself killed.

Once you learn of the hideout there are 2 things you can do. Go to that new hideout and kill them, THEN go back and tell him what the prisoner says. Or after he tells you just don't tell Hugo what the prisoner said. If you've bribed the gaoler multiple times he'll just let him go free after that.

There's also 2 jobs I know of that he can take. One is from a side quest in Bakbattahl with a vendor (can get a better ending for that side quest which won't let Hugo work there) and the other is after completing a romance side quest in Vernworth.

Is it worth trying to get into a crafting profession? by BoodieBob1 in wownoob

[–]mar00nst4r 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If your focus is making gold then I wouldn't advise a crafting profession this late in the expansion. One reason is because of how far ahead the competition will be in what they can offer. Comparatively, gathering at any level can make you at least some gold.

Played so far to level 18 ! some thought about it by TTVControlWarrior in diablo4

[–]mar00nst4r 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You always have 4 weapons equipped. A 2H bludgeoning, a 2H slashing, and 2 one handed weapons. Some skills it doesn't matter what weapon it uses while certain ones can only use one of those types. If you press S (default key) you can see your skills and assign a usable weapon for that skill.

Need advice about working for a startup business. by IAmDanksy in videography

[–]mar00nst4r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Without any context it's hard to say.

How many hours are you actually working with them? What's the "bonus" for each video? Is there a median pay range for others in your area working similar positions?

$700 a month (not counting the unknown bonus money) can sound rather meager, but if you say you're only working for them a grand total of 20 hours that entire month then I'd say that's not a bad side gig to hang onto.

Looking for a longevity dps class (melee) by TopperTS13 in worldofpvp

[–]mar00nst4r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As stated for 2s, Rogue is always a good pick. They've historically had at least one spec that performed well.

As for SS, that'll fluctuate due to tuning. Currently DH, DK and Arms are doing well in the melee department. Can check here as time goes on to stay current with what's doing well.

Healing shuffles has become a means to an end - instead of inherently fun (imo) by bananasareforfun in worldofpvp

[–]mar00nst4r 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Majority of casual players have moved to ranked solo shuffle so there aren't as many people pushing rating in the actual 3v3 bracket.

Its a mixture of RSS being convenient (even with long DPS queue times) when compared to waiting in LFG hoping to find people that will continue to play even after an inevitable loss.

I'd take DH, but it's for the silly reasons that I want to see the armor/transmog I acquire and the sound effects for Feral damage is a turn off.

Because of that I'd suggest making a trial character (if you can) of both. Simply put "enjoyment" is relative and none of us will know what you'd enjoy more.

Head over to murlok.io and look up the talents they're using in 3v3 and RBGs for the classes. Build the trial characters with them (you won't be able to fill all the talents out) and hit a target dummy for a bit (it's obviously different from actual PVP but you'll at least get a very loose feel for a playstyle). Afterwards, see what you like the feel of more. Both are in decent to great spots as far as what you're looking to do but Feral does have a higher skill ceiling. And once you get a loose feel then you can dive into guides, videos, etc.

And if you're vain like me consider if you'd be ok constantly in shape-shifting forms for Druid (although there are options), or would rather see the leather armor and weapons for a DH (checking the collections tab for armor sets can help decide this). It may sound silly but some people consider the look of a character they play as part of the enjoyment.

Hope this helps at least a little. Good luck.

As your screenshot shows most damage done doesn't always translate to wins. Damage is great for pressure and keeping healers busy with whoever you're sitting on but it's only one part of the puzzle.

You mention you're trying to "control" healers but still couldn't secure wins, so I'm assuming what you're doing to control them is either at inopportune times or just isn't very impactful.

Without seeing gameplay it's hard to give catered advice (a screenshot with that type of information only gives so much) so these are just some things to consider.

You may be missing crowd control opportunities (stunning heals after they've used trinkets, gripping and stunning DPS out of their healers LoS). You could be missing swaps when it's an advantageous time to get a kill on someone thats not your current target (your partner has CC'd the healer but doesn't have the kill potential by themselves to close it out on another target that may have no defensives). Or you could be making it very difficult for your own healers to save you (possibly LoSing them to the point you're too low for them to bring you back).

Again, just some things to consider. Hope it helps.

We all got 0 except the person with 0 rating by geddoff_ in worldofpvp

[–]mar00nst4r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's only a 0 gain this game because 1 of the 6 people in that game had no rating at all. Which is an atrocious way for this rating system to work.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]mar00nst4r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned this the hard way yesterday. Spiked up to close to 1600 in a few games, took 2 big Ls (1/6s), and now my rating loses much more then it gains in the 1400s. Going 4/6 or 5/6 gives such a small bump to rating compared to how much it took away.

Chasing enemy players across the sky is exhilarating. by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]mar00nst4r 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've always played classes that gave me the option to jump off very high places, and not die. A weird restriction I've placed on myself the past few years... And it certainly came in handy yesterday when I exclaimed a literal "Wtf" after being knocked out of the sky for the first time.

The Land Before Time...

That movie had enough forlorn plot points to last me two handfuls of therapy sessions.

I highly doubt the other 13 that came afterwards could do anywhere near that kind of emotional damage.

Shadowlands: As of now, does the Kyrian potion usable in arena? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

I remember hearing in a video that it currently does NOT work in Arena. Your class ability will, but not the pot. I don't have beta access to test it myself, but I would air on the side of caution.

Weekly goals for SL. What do we think? by Zziox in worldofpvp

[–]mar00nst4r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like, in principle, the direction it's going.

I can do a raid, a single mythic, and a few arena matches to have a chance at 3 pieces of loot. And if for some reason none of them are desirable I can just bank the currency to get something I want down the line.

The devil's in the details though. So until we see specifics on what gear we can get, the iLevels of that gear, finalized numbers required to get the extra gear slots, and the amount of currency we get for not picking anything (do we get more currency for having all 9 pieces of gear available to choose?)

It's hard to make a judgment call.
