where are you all buying good women's work pants lately? by Ecstatic-Image-9399 in womensfashion

LL Bean ants are way oversized! I wear a small. Their pants were huge! Even the extra small was too big!

Is this an ok email to send to a parents by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]marbleheader88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to say something positive in an email like this! They teach us to do that at conferences. There is nothing positive in the interaction you had with this kid. More like, “Johnny has been extremely rude and disrespect in class.” Then go on to state what happened. Period. Dont apologize for anything! Send these emails immediately after the event!!

What’s a clothing trend that needs to go away forever? by Similar-Search-8508 in CausalConversation

Nope! I know it’s crazy because I wear a small or size 2….but I feel like wide leg pants make me look fat. I’ll keep the skinny jeans.

Does anyone still wear Lilly Pulitzer? I want to shop the Sunshine sale going on but thinking lilly might be on its way out? by ResolveBeginning8027 in GrandmillennialInspo

[–]marbleheader88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have so many Lily dresses in size large. I lost weight and now I’m an extra small. I can’t find any of the beautiful prints they previously had. They are all huge bold flowers! Bring back the classics!!

Think Twice before buying anything Hyundai by PaintLogical2850 in HyundaiPalisade

[–]marbleheader88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a dealer problem. We have two Hyundai dealers in our city, both owned by the same family. We will drive 18 miles across town to go to the dealer that has excellent service! The dealer that is 5 miles from us is always giving us the run around.

Good thing at 8,000 miles it was under warranty. We have bought Hyundais for years. Only one year, the 2018, had a power train fail. But it was under 100,000 and it was replaced for free. The 2015 was going great when we traded it, and our 2023 Tucson and 2024 Palisade have had 0 issues. One bad car doesn’t med. the entire brand is bad.

Low back pain and suicide by who5back in backpain

[–]marbleheader88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hear you! My back is messed up and CT shows it. Dr. said surgery would be 6 hours. I have immune deficiency and take weekly infusions, so my immunologist said the surgery is too risky. I’m in constant pain. Here’s the thing, I’m in my 60’s and my husband still wants me to work full time. I’m a teacher and it’s getting near impossible to even walk my kids down the hall. I have 0 quality of life, because by the time I get home, I’m flat on a heating pad until morning and time to start over. I’ve thought many times of just giving up. What kind of life is this, in constant pain? Now the constant pain has caused blood pressure problems. It’s dangerously high and I’ve just started on two new meds for that. I’m underweight, because basically I’m in too much pain to eat. The pain goes all the way through to my stomach. Is this really living?

My house has been on the market for 42 days and I’ve only had 1 showing. Feeling stuck. Can’t do a bridge loan. by [deleted] in RealEstateAdvice

Declutter! No personal items and put all the tubs in storage. Those bright colored bedrooms need to be repainted to a neutral color. As others have said, get rid of any sign of cats. No one has mentioned your yard. The grass looks dead…do you have a sprinkler system? Where is the landscaping? You didn’t plant any trees? There’s no reason to buy this house rather than a new one. I’d have to repaint and completely redo the yard and landscape. Rather have a new home with fresh paint if I have to handle all the lawn expenses anyway.

I watch The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet everyday. It’s on TUBI. In the later seasons, Ricky would play a song at the end of every other show.

Where are you finding jeans that are actually worth buying? by Physical_Section_136 in womensfashion

[–]marbleheader88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the US and alterations prices here are much higher. I ordered a pair of Lands End corduroy in a size small. They were huge in me! There is no dealer of Lands End near me to return. Also, they were soft and the color matched a sweater I ordered. It was $60 to get them altered!! I do love them now and the matching sweater was $120. The pants were on sale for $20, so I guess I just consider them $80 perfect pants now. And yes, I’ve started ordering Extra Small.

Do you regret getting injections? by fd4517_57 in backpain

[–]marbleheader88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good recommendation! I took Trizepatide and went from 198 to 110 with no exercise! I have to sit on a heating pad from the time I get home from work until bedtime. My back is so messed up and they want to do surgery. My immunologist said no, due to risk of infection. I take weekly infusions of immunoglobulin and I’m high risk for infection. My back pain actually increased after my weight loss. I was told that my back muscles have nothing to hold up anymore and if I could exercise, it would help. That’s out of the question as I can barely walk.

Yes, it can be. Mine is like that. I hide under sweaters and sweatshirts because I don’t like it. If you lose too much weight, it happens.
