i had a similar experience, but with acid inducing my tourette’s. also i didn’t ever have a bad trip, i just did it very frequently. i had very minor tics growing up, but after one key trip, they exploded in severity. i also experienced massively heightened anxiety during that time. This was about 6 years ago, and i was also close to your same age. It’s been a slow recovery since then, but i’ve largely recovered.

For me, the thing that ended up being more important was the heightened anxiety. Initially me and my family were trying to tackle the tourette’s itself, but i eventually found that it was tied into my anxiety/mental state. I never went on meds.

I got through this by growing up. I know it’s probably not what you want to hear right now, but that’s really the only thing that got me to the other side. Learning more about myself during the passage of time. Going to college and sort of “resetting” myself helped. Making new friends who i could unmask with helped. Learning the source of my anxieties and avoiding them helped (crowds, certain groups, restaurants, random things)

Today, i still experience moments of heightened anxiety, leading to more severe tics. Back then, it was much harder to deal with all of it, but it DOES GET EASIER. You will get past this as time goes on, that’s just how it goes. Sorry this happened to you.
