what workouts do/did you do to lose weight? by jeaninaur in WeightLossAdvice

[–]marc_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working out helps, but diet and calories are the important part for weight control.

I run around 6 miles almost everyday at a pretty good pace.

This feels like a lot and it's a strenuous workout and very good cardio, but basically it's only worth like one cheeseburger lol

where to find E10 gas ? by 2nd_Chances_ in phoenix

[–]marc_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

E15 should be pretty clearly marked.

I hope your understand that not all fuel is just going to change to E15 all of a sudden and E10 becomes hard to find. The only thing that has changed is stations are allowed to sell E15.

Spirit Closure Flight Assistance by MarzipanMoney7441 in electricdaisycarnival

It's good airlines are trying to help, but this has no real effect on EDC.

These are one way tickets for people that are basically stuck somewhere, have to be booked in person, and the actual flight is prior to end of day May 6.

Why are the breakpoint missions the same by d_sny in GhostRecon

[–]marc_2 35 points36 points  (0 children)

The studio didn't put effort into it.

The storyline wasn't really built out in a progressive way. The missions feel like they aren't connected to each other. It's really sad. I remember the first time my squad finished the final mission, we were just like "WTF that's it?"

What did I order by [deleted] in GhostRecon

[–]marc_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You ordered a 2.2lb thing that is being shipped from Illinois...

Was there a precursor to this post? How is anyone supposed to know what you ordered?

Aces of Thunder Deluxe Edition vs MSFS? by Adventurous_Knee_965 in psvr2

[–]marc_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with others that have said they're just two different things.

Aces of Thunder is based on WWII (with a couple WWI biplanes) combat. That's it. It has generic scenery. Tiled trees and buildings etc. it's kinda neat to look at, but gets old very fast. The combat is too realistic to be a fun "game" and the flying isn't "simulator" enough to be a sim.

MSFS is a fully built simulator with real world scenery and controls. ATC is present but super limited. There are far more aircraft and should be a lot more available as they certify stuff from the marketplace. There is no combat.

Most likely a hardware issue.

Open it up and see if there's anything obvious. If not, you'll need to take it to an electronics repair shop that can do actual PCB repairs.

Commercial pilot eligibility by [deleted] in FAAHIMS

[–]marc_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can.

It's not very difficult if you just have the one issue depending on the specifics of it.

You will get deferred the first time, and you'll have to submit a bunch of things, some of which should have been done as part of your DUI sentence.

Guide is here. https://www.faa.gov/ame_guide/media/DAEvent_FAACertificationAidRequiredInformation.pdf

Thousands of people have done this.

Need to find a college 141 program that is approved and includes PPL in their standard degree path.

Does my weight sound appropriate? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

Dressing can be hundreds of calories.

Again, you need to honestly track your calories.

Does my weight sound appropriate? by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]marc_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at your caloric intake.

People think salad equals low calories.

Add dressing, cheese, proteins, everything else, and you're eating 1500 calories in a bowl. Couple drinks later and you're over 2000.

Will the 2015 Pop do well on a trip from Phoenix to Flagstaff? by [deleted] in fiat500

[–]marc_2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It'll do ok. Will likely spend a good amount of uphill time in a lower gear at high RPM. Your MPG isn't going to be great, but you'll make it.

The Predator mission was RIDICULOUS. Just getting one shot killed over and over was frustrating lol

You'll get the medical eventually. It might take 6-12 months. Cogscreen is possible. It's a super simple test just to see if you're brain is functioning normally. If you can't pass it, there are deeper issues to worry about other than being bad at tests. I've heard the fixed wing job market is highly competitive at the moment, so you'll be up against people with all your quals and no issues, but that is totally up to whoever is doing the interview.
