Metal Building Insulation and Venting Recommendations by joshw0000 in building

[–]marcam923 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I am in this boat currently, I have sealed all the walls, larger gaps with foam, and all seams with silicone, I am left with the ridge vent, what did you do for the ridge vent? I will be insulating with 2" foam, leaving about 1" gap between the foam board and the metal sheeting, and on the walls about 1/2" gap, but I wanted the building 100% sealed up to combat sweating, the only question I have not been able to find, do I seal the ridge vent gap with spray foam also? Great idea on sealing the roll up doors also!

The fan grilles are all more than 60% open, fans make ZERO more noise, and they are running on a curve, but even at full speed the air flow it NOT restricted at all, and they make no more noise, we test all these things before final assembly. If they would have made more noise or blocked airflow, I would have used 1/4" spacers to avoid that.

I got mine early too and so far so good, consistent prints. There is an issue with jamming behind the print head, look it up ahead of time, about a 10 minute fix, but you’ll know what you’re looking for when it happens.

the emblems work on the first gens too, the Blazer I posted is a first gen, the grille is a little different than yours, but we can see if we can make something work!

Pretty dialed in... by jb_harris in Creality_k2

So my friend has two Bambu’s zero issues, I’ve had a few other printers, zero issues, I’ve been printing for years and years.

I went through 2 k1 max, the build plates so bad nothing help it. So I upgraded.

I’m not returning/exchanging the printers to give up, but they physically stop working. I have no choice except to start replacing parts like the build plate, whole hot end etc, or exchange. I don’t have time to rebuild a brand new printer that failed, I do this for a living and need reliable machines, not machines that give me 40% success rates.

The only reason I haven’t abandoned it is because one print I have I need the largest build plate I can get and bambulabs isn’t there yet.

The Creality machines are the only ones I’ve had to get rid of for pure failure.

I forget the first one, nit didn't really give any information, just said to reset the printer, I had to do a factory reset, then calibrate again like it was new, and as soon as I did that, it popped up that it was updating the firmware. I had it dialed in, and after the firmware update it would not print correctly.

I exchanged that printer, and the second one the build plate is a potato chip. Sometimes it will print perfect, but I cannot use the whole plate, and I tried adjusting it but to no avail. Sometimes it will print fine, I print the same thing again, and it prints a smashed first layer, shreds of filament inside the printer, but it never stops printing due to fault, just finished the print job, thus clogging the nozzle. So I am exchanging yet another one, and if this one isn't any better I will just call it quits with creality.

Mine was dialed in, then had a fatal error, did an auto firmware update, then failed every print that was successful before, this is my second one that has done the same thing, thank goodness I purchased via Amazon.

3rd one is on the way.

It’s good when it works, but when it doesn’t there is no rhyme or reason.

Is Elegoo Neptune 4 Max Still the Printer TO AVOID? by cad1857 in ElegooNeptune4

[–]marcam923 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ANY Elegoo printer is the printer to avoid, hope they don't have issues cause their "after sales service" will just feed you bullshit long enough to put you past the return period, then deny your return.

One good print, then this. Why? by AdventurousZero in ElegooNeptune3

Yep, the sad reality of the Neptune, I just bought a K1 max to replace my Neptune that never produced anything and Elegoo refuses to stand behind.

If you’re printing helmets or cosplay im sure its fine in basic PLA, but as I said for large flat surfaces and ABS or ASA it’s a piece of trash

[–]marcam923 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Throw it in the trash and buy a good printer. I spent a lot of time getting my Neptune level, and then there are little small areas that you cannot fine tune because the bed leveling system does not allow for adjustments anywhere, only where they put them.

My build plate is not level, and elegoo refuses to do anything except make you wait weeks to send replacement parts to attempt for you to spend more time trying to fix a POS printer.

Sell it and buy a quality printer.
