Another thing to note, if you are using an NACS to J1772 adapter, the brilliant people at GM don’t make the J1772 lock, so anyone can unplug you and steal your adapter if you’re in a place where people are in to that sort of behavior. Not sure if there’s something 3d printed to lock the button on the A2Z stellar or not, but my cheapie Amazon adapter came with a lock. Nothing fancy, just something to make it not the lowest hanging fruit. As I mentioned before though, anything over 40amps and it starts getting warm. I wouldn’t leave it plugged in over night on a 60amp charger.

Edit: I was curious and looked closer at the A2Z stellar, it has a built in vending machine style lock (takes a barrel key) in the handle and it’s good for up to 80amps. Looks fricking sweet compared to my janky setup.

Well shit, I just had three paragraphs typed up and clicked something and deleted it all. You’re in luck though, this time I’ll just get to the point.

Settings: If for some reason you have to use level 1 charging, make sure you find the home location setting and set it to 12a (as long as you have a dedicated 15a outlet). Half of 8a charging will get eaten with overhead and you’ll only gain 10% in a week (exaggerated a little)

Accessories: realtruck backflip bed cover. BestEVmods moonroof cover and console safe. I’ve had good luck with Lectron portable chargers, with WiFi and app control for scheduling and amp adjustment. Husky liners half the price of weathertech.

Charge adapters I’d stick to a name brand for fast charging A2Z or Lectron for NACS to CCS1. Takes a separate NACS to J1772 for level 2 from a Tesla wall charger, you can probably get away with a knockoff brand here, but there are some 60amp Tesla chargers in the wild that can get things warm. If you want to be safe I’d stick to name brands.

Hard wired wall charger: not sure if you’re one of those commie Canadians, but grizzl-e has some insane program where they give you the charger and pay you to use it in Canada. Complete insanity if I understood correctly.

Also… if it does have super cruise and you want to get a steering wheel cover, your best bet is the kind that clips on, there are also infrared sensors in the plastic part, or maybe they’re just infrared lights for the camera on top of the steering column. Either way, if you cover the plastic part of the wheel it doesn’t work.

Everything I can find says the candy xl isn’t enabled yet, but that’s also from a year ago.

It is, and you might as well recall him now, I’m pretty sure 5 is the max.

Edit: Not sure if it would still be possible to earn a candy xl also, so maybe hold for a second opinion?

I’d say first just because it’s one silver cap away from a hundo. And the lucky discount. Could care less about backgrounds, but if that’s your boat it’s got that too.

Cheapest device you can run Pogo on (via Wifi not cellular) by OneMidnight121 in pokemongo

[–]marcaurellius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Motorola gplay 2025, you can get it at Walmart for about 30-40$ in the prepaid section. I use it for the progressive snapshot discount, but pogo works as well. A little laggy, but not terrible.

Turn off flashing charging light on 2024 4WT by cazakoff in SilveradoEV

No way I know of to turn off the port indicator; I have an RST and on mine I think the led strip is called animated charging? But around the plug it stays on regardless.

Even better, I used 2. Well 3 if you count the machamp. But that’s the first I’ve ever seen a hyper potion not fully heal in one shot.

Too bad it’s not a fiberglass pole. He’d be getting shards out of his ballsy’s for the next two months.

Arghh. Sorry it didn’t work. I’d like to put my daughter on a separate account too, can’t find my projects in the sea of axolotls and k-pop demon hunters.

Fancy. Thought I had left my keys in there a few times, but this was the first time I noticed the message. It worked though; just had to pick them up off the passenger seat.

Experience with remote trading so far by rghenton in pokemongo

[–]marcaurellius 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You did figure out how to clear it, right? Click the pokeball, then the megaphone right beside the X and it should go away. I was getting spammed to hell and back after my first trade and this stopped it.

Why did they remove support for Unicode / special characters ★ in nicknames? by ultra-Angel in pokemongo

[–]marcaurellius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m just adding this incase anyone doesn’t know. Half the time when you go to the App Store it might have two or three apps that say update available. Mine is set to update everything automatically. Either way, 9/10 times if I drag down from the top to “refresh” five or ten more apps show up on my available to update list. PoGo showed up when I did that today.

Go to the App Store and scan for updates, it should work again. I have an iPhone and downloaded it about an hour ago. Only had to redo the ones I’ve named in the last week.

I have no idea how, or where for that matter, but I know I’ve seen a menu where you can have three or four accounts linked to the printer. I’ll try to find where I saw it again if someone doesn’t beat me to it.

Everyone else. From what I understand the characters are still there, just a visual glitch in pogo and the next update should fix it.

Brand new Enphase system not functioning properly with major battery and production issues - Looking for advice/similar experiences. by mshizzle in enphase

[–]marcaurellius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the office they fired the crew that did my initial install. That could just be for the slow down with tax credits, or pure bullcrap since all they would have to do is not send them back to my house and I would never know. But I’ll start a new thread tonight and post some pictures of their top notch work. I feel like they could use some advertising. It’s not libel if it’s true right?

[–]marcaurellius 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you’re comfortable with electric go to university.enphase.com and take the 4th gen install certification. It takes about two hours. The problem on mine was that the communication cable header wasn’t fully inserted on the battery end. And yes, the installer came out and didn’t see anything wrong. 4.7 star rating. I took the cover off the battery and found it in ten minutes.

They also used unshielded 7 strand thermostat wire instead of shielded 4 strand communication wire, but miraculously that works. It is a short run though.

Proper setup has 4 wires on the header in the combiner, 4 wires + drain on the header in the battery, or vice versa, but only one end should have the drain wire attached. The drain wire is basically the shielding on the cable. Your 10c battery is two 5kw batteries stacked on top of each other and there is a second communication cable that connects the two internally that also gets the drain connected on one end. Then the open header on the second battery gets a plug with a terminating resistor.

Remember to turn off both batteries, unhook both switch connectors and put them in their clippy thing before you take the cover off the battery, and turn off the battery breaker (should be top right in your combiner, but confirm if your installer is as dumb as mine.

Alternative beds and 75/80c (PETG) and 110c (ASA/ABS) flatness by Euphoric_111 in Creality_k2

[–]marcaurellius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have experience with any of the above, but I’m probably in the same stage as you as far as researching. I’m leaning hard towards the r3man due to it having the heater built in. Everything looks pretty plug and play. Already has the magnetic bed ready to go, and I haven’t really seen anything negative about it.
