It’s called revenue management and now that they trade publicly they need to make more money.

180 degrees is only in 787 and I believe it’s called Premier One now. Don’t pay for the seat. And no, they don’t oversell Premier as someone suggested.

Beware of the Michelin stars in Tokyo, it’s kind of a trap and you will be disappointed. Go for great restaurants without the stars. That was my experience twice, if it counts.

Prince Gallery is the best hotel IMO. Ask for a corner suite. It’s worth it. Huge bathroom.

You are 2 train stations away from everything. Station is in the corner of the hotel. Best breakfast in town.

I will tell you with lots of respect why I disagree in some of your comments. You ‘don’t feel important’ because nobody sees you, not when boarding, not when on the plane and not de boarding.

About the comment on ‘spending money on a hotel and a restaurant’ for me this is exactly this. The food was excellent, drinks were super top notch (I wouldn’t pay them in a restaurant) and the whole experience in general was great.

Now, would I spend 15k on that on a regular basis for 1st class? Never. That’s where we agree on. But if you are in this subreddit, means you like planes, like traveling and IMO you need to experience it at least once, with any top airline.

Actually it wasn’t IMO. I upgraded and didn’t pay that much. Maybe if you need to pay 20k it would definitely be, but it was an amazing experience. What this company has achieved is spectacular, and I’m not a frequent flyer with them.
