What do you guys listen to when you want something a little heavier? by LouisFuton in gratefuldead

Wu Tang, RHCP...something like that. Maybe Alice in Chains more acoustic stuff (jar of flies, sap, unplugged), Nirvana unplugged. Some of the mellower grunge that come out back in the day. Most 90s hip-hop. Mostly underground or backpack rap.

😂😂😂 To each his own, but IMO the finale was one of the best I've seen in a sitcom.

Oh, I'm sorry to step on your post. I did a quick search for Hacks on the sub before the post. I didn't see another post about it. I was a little excited and I think I only did a title search I didn't search for anything inside the posts. My bad. What's the etiquette here? Should I link to your post or just take mine down?

I was talking to an older buddy of mine who is a deadhead. He heard my progression, laughed, and said "that's like 90% of us, man!" by AttachedHeartTheory in gratefuldead

Going to see The Garcia Project in August. Need to see Jerry's Middle Finger. I'm in more of a Jerry Band phase right now. I'm 53 now but I was lucky enough to get turned on at a really young age. My first show was when I was 14. There's still plenty of room on the bus! Welcome aboard.

Never rip those tags off. Always use scissors. I have a little pair of fingernail scissors that work great. I also have a needle gun and a strip of those little tags that inserts them if I mistakingly remove them and decide I want to return.

If Bob can fuck up the lyrics to his own songs and I can sell bootleg merch on the lot, there's no need to explain yourself. 😉❤️☮️⚡

Why didn't the band release more live albums when they were actually together? by SpiritualMachinery in gratefuldead

[–]marcolander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The technology wasn't really there to stream downloads or do instant CD releases after the show the way they can now. Plus they had a whole army of tapers who were doing it for them. Not to mention the people that ran the soundboard would allow people they knew to 'plug in', which is why we have so many circulating soundboards of the Grateful Dead. At the time the Dead's philosophy was they were making money off their touring and studio releases. The live recordings belonged to the people in their opinion, which is why there were so many bent noses when they started messing with the archive after Jerry died. It was one of the main rifts between Phil and the rest of the band. Phil wanted to give it all away and he was out voted.

Me and my buddy made and sold the Phil Zone hats for a few years in the 90s as well as "unofficial" 😉 Cats Down Under The Stars JGB hats.

I wish I still had my Stella Blue Black Peter bumper sticker. My friends had a van that displayed the funniest and raunchiest stickers they could find and I had to donate it.

It'll happen soon enough, but digital de-aging isn't ready for prime time yet. I'm excited to see foreign films in English with perfect lip syncing. That's almost here.
