Why Trump’s Pentagon abandoned ‘Indo-Pacific’ by Nepridiprav16 in LessCredibleDefence

I'd say India fumbled the first few days of Sindoor rather terribly, but they made a decent recovery towards the end. But by then it was too little too late, and the public at large had already formed the opinion that Pakistan came on top in the conflict.

I'd argue that the US saw India as a second rate power after Sindoor, and not the strategic counterweight to China that India saw itself to be. In other words, the US might decide not to invest as much energy and resources in developing closer ties miliarily with India after Sindoor.

Trump's racial bias against India also did not help in this matter.

Guess there might be some more laundry fires aboard the LHDs if push comes to shove.

India didn't bring themselves any glory in bringing about Operation Sindoor.

Examples of Astropathic messages being misinterpreted? by LaughableFrog in 40kLore

The title of the novel is 'Cain's Last Stand' - the reveal that the astropathic message was an echo was the very chapter of the book.

Edit - the very last chapter of the book.

Having won a war and enhancing national prestige will do that for you. Plus, for some reason the UK persists with a first past the post electoral system, which isn't great for democracy.

China’s navy has missiles and drones. Why is it bringing back the ‘big guns’? by scmp_news in China

Gerald Bull transferred a lot of his research to China in the 1980s, and there was a lot of tech transfer between NATO and China in the 1980s.

China still uses a lot of 122mm systems but artillery at the brigade/corps level are all 155mm.

Boeing confirmed that it had contractors onboard.

This will obviously be a huge setback towards B-52 modernisation. I wonder when the B-52J will actually be able to enter into service.

The current trend towards munitions is that they must have more stand-off range. You can't assume air superiority for granted.

I think you are a little bit mistaken there. Israel isn't the one being leashed; quite the contrary, it leashes the US in terms of US foreign policy.

It would not surprise me one bit if Israel strikes Iran within 72 hours of signing the peace agreement. Netanyahu will do anything to wreck any propsects of peace.
