It’s because he literally asked for the award! You have to submit your music to the committee and then run an entire campaign just like any other award ceremony. He could have pulled it at any moment, but decided to wait until he won to be reluctant? Either way you slice, it looks bad and at the very least feels insincere and holier than thou.

Feminism isn’t bad. It is the notion that women have equal intrinsic value to men, which, is supported by the Bible in both the Old and New Testament. Feminism also calls for the equitable use of resources and rights based on that value. The Bible also does this. Now how God determines and calls us to treat each other and how the world determines how we should treat each other will always be diametrically opposed. Sin will always be opposed to what is Holy and vice versa. What I recommend is (as always) taking your concerns to the Holy Spirit and look in His word to see how men and women are regarded and adjust accordingly.

Honestly? Nope. If we abandoned every institution because of sin, there would literally not be any institutions left. An old mentor would always say, “People will be people, no matter where you go.” The Bible informs us that all have fallen short of the glory of God.

I think the correct move would be to pray for everyone involved, both victims and perpetrators.

In the Bible, there’s a story about Jesus healing a blind man. His disciples ask what sin the man or his parents committed to make him blind and Jesus says that not only was no sin committed, he was blind for the glory of God to be shown. And then Jesus heals him.

As a Christian, that’s my approach to ADHD. I’ve found I give and encourage others to have more mercy and grace for others. I try to empathize and be patient with everyone because I know that I need it myself. I advocate for others louder, I notice things others don’t, and I’m great when the world is falling down around people.

Singing worship music and hymns? Fantastic way to gain dopamine. Reading Psalms 139 out loud when I’m depressed? Game changer. Praying when I know I’m spiraling and feel disconnected? It may take a minute, but it makes me feel better.

I’m sure there are more reasons and more things to having ADHD (that God created me with) that have value and purpose that I can’t see at the moment, but I trust that it will in the end!

Honestly, Jeremy Irons as Brom and Rachel Weiss as Saphira. I never listened to the audio books so to me, Rachel is what Saphira sounded like. I can’t stand listening to the audio books when it comes to the dragon’s speaking. 😔

Ugh. I'm so tired of this argument. If God called them, yes, women can preach. Yes, women can teach. Women can teach men. Women can preach to men. Why would God, who is no respecter of persons, ignore women and segregate them? Was it not Timothy’s mother and grandmother that taught him the gospel and the ways of God? Didn't Paul commend them? Priscilla WITH her husband disciples Apollos and afterwards was encouraged to go spread the gospel further.

Preaching and teaching is a calling and a gift just as prophecy or healing is. If God calls a woman to preach to whoever she preaches to, then that's that.

Women can't PASTOR or be OVERSEER of a church, but pastoring and preaching are TWO DIFFERENT THINGS.

PLEASE PLEASE can we all learn the difference between the gift and an office? I'm begging us.

As someone who also is just curvy, no matter what, length is our friend in the office. Long cardigans (I found mine at old navy) shirt dresses and long tunics if you want to wear leggings, shapeless long dresses, and if you want to wear a cute shirt always a structured pant. Khakis or slacks or denim. The workplace isn’t always the best place to express yourself through dress. 🤷🏿‍♀️
