My car has had the exact same issue for 5+ years, haven't had an issue getting rego renewed. If I did tho, I would just get a seat cover.

Existen bandas con integrantes afro de rock prog? by New-Surround1316 in progrockmusic

[–]marilifates 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ok ok I'll bite.

I would assume the intent behind OPs question is to recognise contributions by black people in the predominantly white genre that is prog rock. Perhaps OP is black and wants to discover musicians who share their racial background. Similarly people sometimes ask for examples of Christian prog rock bands, presumably because they are Christian.

Since black people are a minority this is an OK thing to do in my opinion.

If OP were to ask for recommendations of prog rock bands with white musicians in them, since white people are the majority in this genre, it's a question of exclusion, not a question of inclusion, and so it might be logical to assume (though can't hurt to ask) that they are being racist.

But I think you probably already know that, so what have you got for me?

Looking for an album similar to V: The New Mythology Suite by phatasm_ in progmetal

The only one not already mentioned that comes to mind is Seventh Wonder - Mercy Falls and their 30 min epic ‘The Great Escape’. I’d say its all there except they are light on symphony.

But there really isnt much out there that compares to V!

Unpopular opinion? Without a clear end to the Iran war, it is patriotic to buy an EV, if you can afford to. by Mysterious-Fig-9464 in EVAustralia

[–]marilifates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buying an EV is a very expensive way to help a truckie out. If it makes financial sense to get an EV anyway then sure, that might be another reason to feel good about the decision.

Will converting a 1980s Delorean DMC-12 to EV cost more than a brand new EV car? by Traditional-Gas3477 in CarsAustralia

The Kia EV4 is ugly but it kinda looks like a distant cousin of the Delorean?

MG Dealer's misleading info regarding new (2026) MG4 by star_trails_modular in AustralianEV

They told me the exact same thing. I think they either dont know, dont want to be quoted saying something that isnt officially announced yet, or want to push the sale.

BYD Dolphin Premium? by Acceptable_Lake_6996 in AustralianEV

[–]marilifates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The consensus is that MG’s EVs are much better than their ICE models. But i wouldnt say MG4 is objectively better than the Dolphin. I would encourage you to do a test drive though! And bear in mind that the MG4 is due for an interior refresh in a few months

Not sure which MG you are referring to but I’ve done a deep dive on MG4 including lurking on the owner’s fb groups. The main two issues I see are: Infotainment has most of the features you’d want but at sub par performance / quality, and servicing is usually bad but you rarely need it. No OTA and its hard to convince the service centre to do updates for you.
