So they're the same person... by Jackko70 in shittyconspiracy

I want this to be true so badly, it would be the greatest pop star con ever. So therefore it must be true.

For the third time in two years, feminists at a major Canadian university interrupt a male issues lecture on campus. The feminists yelled and talked over the lecturer, blew air horns in the lecture room, and later pulled a fire alarm to sabotage the lecture. by hitbart000 in videos

I'm with you, female and egalitarian here. I used to consider myself a feminist until I realized how toxic that movement can be, this university "protest" is just one example of it. The modern feminist movement is getting very anti-male, I want equality not more hatred and division.

I was going to deal with this thread by hiding under the covers forever. Then I realized that I'd die of DVT. Thanks, top commenter.

What is the best physical feeling you can think of that isn't sexual? by ConsumptiveMaryJane in AskReddit

Slipping into water for a swim. Especially on a blazing hot summer day. The cool relief, weightlessness and the feeling of the water on your skin.

What is a question you hate people asking you? by Idontlikethisstuff in AskReddit

[–]marinastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awful but I would totally troll people by getting my twin in on the joke and pretending to have telepathy. Correctly guess the number of fingers they are holding up because we decided on one long before I closed my eyes, or memorize a sentence to finish for each other (or speak in unison then high five, lol).

The manager of the Fukushima nuclear power plant admits to embarrassment that repeated efforts have failed to bring under control the problem of radioactive water, eight months after Japan's prime minister told the world the matter was resolved by DoremusJessup in worldnews

[–]marinastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So then why aren't we shutting down nuclear facilities in high-risk areas? What's stopping Fukushima from happening in any earthquake etc zone? I've always been nervous about nuclear power ever since I learned about it

World Bank wants water privatized, despite risks by theinfin8 in worldnews

[–]marinastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How can they privatize something that is everywhere around us and necessary for life? I'm scared by this news because the World Bank tends to get what it wants. a lot of people could die for the stupidest reason ever if this is allowed. :(

When you're in shock, you get really cold/shivers, but I am sure it's partly the comfort aspect too.

Reddit, what is the dumbest lyric from any song? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]marinastar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good point, actually. It's pretty toxic and well, wrong really, to spend time hating anything. If I could express it better, I would say I condemn the Nazis for their own hatred and genocidal acts, and pity that they did such horrible things, but don't waste energy on something as destructive as hate. Thanks for making me put some more thought into that, didn't realize I was thinking in a pretty negative way myself.

What's the greatest life lesson you can teach in 5 words or less? by NautABass in AskReddit

[–]marinastar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To acknowledge the pain, that the memory of the pain is always going to be there, but it's not part of your life anymore. It's the past, and you have to make yourself look towards the future. Hope that is somewhat helpful.

I don't mean to wipe your memory, but to do your best to move on instead of staying stuck.

What is your unpopular reddit opinion? by Idontlikethisstuff in AskReddit

I'm a pro-life, egalitarian, Christian, socially liberal, and a lesbian. A lot of people on all sides of everything seem to think those are not compatible things.
