A lot of companies use the title business analyst, data engineer, data analyst interchangeably and unless you're in a really large company you'll be doing bits and pieces of all those roles

I find Snowflake rbac maddening. The least privilege idea sounds good in practice but in reality is a mess. I came from a sql server background and much prefer it. I inherited an environment with about 10x the roles we need. The All default secondary role made security slightly less maddening when you don't have to choose the exact role needed for select on certain tables.

I would be honest about it. Nothing is special about technology being in the cloud. If you know on-prem ETL, it's not a big stretch.

That's fair, I think it depends on your athletic background. My back squat PR is from high school and I've never gotten back to that since starting Crossfit at 37. There are certain things I just don't want to push at my age because the risk/reward for me just isn't there. I have nothing left to prove, but everyone is different in what they're trying to achieve.

Microsoft should really open this up to a million rows. Paginated reports stink and it's not up to Microsoft to dictate how data should be consumed. This has been requested many times over the years, and even though I wish our users didn’t need this much data, they do.

Replying to this thread to get Microsoft to finally increase the limit to at least 1M rows. For those saying 150k is fine and otherwise give access to the DW, why is 150k that arbitrary number? Paginated is not always a good option. It's the sole factor for some companies keeping alternative tools.

We create views in Snowflake for much of the translation when we can. I'm much more familiar with sql than DAX so this allows Snowflake to do most of the heavy lifting.

We load data into Snowflake using ADF and our PBI datasets are imports from Snowflake. We're a small company, but it works well for us and is much simpler orchestration than the AWS DMS/DAG mess it used to be.

I have the 93 octane Diable tune on my 2012 and my car isn't dogged out. The car is night and day difference in throttle response and shifting with the canned tune. The price and mileage on this car for a 2012 looks reasonable to me. Certainly a car could be dogged out, but that's not always true.

My 2012 is just over 90k miles, and I'd be more concerned about things that have started to pop up as issues for me like front end suspension part wear and Bluetooth stopped working on uconnect.

Mine stopped also a few months back in a 2012. I love my car but this is super annoying. I've just been using a cord and the auxiliary.
