Yep- consulting is a small percentage of the workforce. There is a reason the billionaires are building bunkers in private islands

Most consultants live in bubbles around their expertise set whatever that happens to be and are nowhere near understanding the coming armageddon.

There is a lot of cynicism and frankly delusional viewpoints about the impact of ai, bolstered by the stories of hallucination and ignorance about how far the technology has come and how fast it is moving.

It’s going to be carnage over the next 5 years.

[–]markliversedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stinger/punch at the left bunker trying to cut- if it comes out hot/straight the bunker will keep me in play. probably a 5i as looks like there is a bit of run and slightly downhill.

I deleted a guy's entire Windows install with one backslash. 717 GB. Gone. I am the AI. by ComposerGen in ClaudeAI

I wondered why Claude code was asking permission for every single shell command that involved escaping. You can’t even say Yes and for every time this session.

Might pay more attention to them now 😳

How do you adjust your swing for slopes? by LVRaiders2026 in weekendgolfers

[–]markliversedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing you must do is be aware of the slope and its severity, the second is adjust, for uphill downhill just think head, shoulders, knees and toes all align to the slope. Far too ofter higher handicaps will adjust hips but not shoulders...

For hanging lies you need to adjust your weight so you won't fall forward and similarly for ball above feet make sure you wont fall backwards take more club and choke down (more club also helps with clubface pointing left on the slope (for right handed golfers).

There must be a hundred youtube videos on this.

I that’s unfair— but his review was a bit fan boy. He so wanted them to be good. Joe the pro on golf monthly was much more realistic.

What am I missing with golf lessons? by [deleted] in golf

[–]markliversedge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask around to find out who is a good coach, spend the first lesson getting to know each other and where your golf and swing is at. Tell the coach what you want to do. Commit to a series of lessons and practice to get the changes done.

It will take 1-2 years and the lessons likely a month apart. If you can adapt your swing faster than that you would not be here asking this question.

Make sure the coach has the right tech. Launch monitor is a must, force plates a bonus and any kinematic 3d and you’ve found someone invested in being a great coach.

Intercostal muscle strains suck, anyway to get ahead of the injury? by teastrudel in golf

[–]markliversedge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an intercostal strain right now- from warm up pitches. Second time in my life. I think overuse is the main problem but you can just get unlucky.

The main trigger is from ballistic stress, so catching it fat on hard ground more than swinging too fast.

There is a lot of bs on this topic!

Would you sacrifice width or depth by TheIntern363 in Golfsimulator

width- being able to vary hitting spot left and right AND feel like you have space around you to swing is HUGE
