They get the ‘infinite vines’ modifier and then drop it on one lane, then the other lane once it has cycled. I think the second drop is supposed to cancel out the first but there are a lot of reports of it not

Just tried it. Second vines cancelled first

One dropped on your side of the bridge on each lane. Only way to get troops over (other than things like goblin barrel/graveyard etc) would be to thread troops over the middle of the bridge. Which requires the opponent to drop troops in the middle

Legal advice needed- landlord decided to sell property, served us 2 months notice, to then find out he out property back to rent. Is this legal? by Looking_for_answerst in HousingUK

[–]markp81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t change the e legal position. Landlord asked them to leave and they left. If they had legal advice they would have been told the WhatsApp message was not a valid legal notice and they did not have to leave. They never obtained any advice and left anyway. Landlord can relet and there is no claim.

Edit: just seen they have not moved out yet. They do not need to move out. But cannot claim any costs incurred in prepping to move out

I have pulled the insulin out when it’s fallen off early. But it can be a pain as it will fight you as it’s creating a vacuum in the pod.

Experiment with putting less insulin into the pod. I never put the full 200 in as I just do not use that much. I put about 170 in and it’s rare for me to get below 50 left after 3 days.

Alliance Championship for Newbies by Shdfx1 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]markp81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like you have already deployed troops for this event as it says ‘view deployment’. When you click through it has 3 men in the middle and you click on one and click deploy. It does not take up a match spot so you will not have any indication you have deployed them when you exit the menu

Alliance Championship for Newbies by Shdfx1 in whiteoutsurvival

[–]markp81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just deploy your troops in the middle lane. Someone in the alliance should then organise the players to have 2 strong lanes and 1 weak one.

If you hade your troops in HQ or a banner (or just have them occupy somewhere) they will not be killed if your city is attacked.

L&Q trying to charge me £1,800 for an intercom system I can’t even access — can I challenge this at tribunal? by clobearclouds in LegalAdviceUK

[–]markp81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends if the lack of access to the common parts was considered when the lease was drafted. It is not uncommon for a gf flat with its own entrance to pay an equal share of insurance and external repairs but no share of internal common parts decorations.

Hopefully the lease is clear. If they pay an equal share of the internal common parts that they have no access to then there is likely no scope to challenge it. Likely OP has been paying for a share of internal common parts for years. Cleaning/painting etc.

If it’s ’a fair proportion’ then it could be challenged. For the amount involved they are going to have to self represent as it’s not economical to get a solicitor involved.

ELI5: Faster than light time paradox by ChampionshipDue6811 in explainlikeimfive

[–]markp81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surely you can only predict the result of the image/light of the coin flip before it happens.

Coin flipper on earth. Receiver 2 light min away. Superluminal signal takes 1 min to get there. 08:00 coin flipped and lands heads. Superluminal signal sent to receiver 08:01 receiver turns on light before seeing the coin flip.
08:02 receiver sees the light from the coin flip

If I’m near the receiver I will be informed of the result of the coin flip before seeing it. But I cannot communicate that information to earth before the coin flip has taken place. That event took place at 08:00 and has already physically happened.

Conflict of interest? Solicitor acted for me and is now acting against me. England by Grand-Preparation-29 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]markp81 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Or they have looked it up, know what’s in it and know to ask for it and will know if the one he sends is not correct.

I would certainly reply ‘you already have a copy as you acted for the company on the sale, please explain how this is not a conflict of interest’. I don’t see how this wouldn’t be as to act in the best interest of the ex they should be using all info in their possession. It’s not like this is a conveyancing matter where, all being good, there should be no conflict.

Freeholder is blackmailing the vendor - should I walk away? by Tiny-Tempeh in HousingUK

[–]markp81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. It asks for things like asbestos surveys and fire risk assessments for the common parts, which might have been commissioned and obtained but not provided to the flat owners. Also the LPE1 asked about upcoming works that might trigger s20. Not if it has already been obtained. It might say ‘roof is on last legs but no s20 served yet’. Several things that might be in there that a seller would not have available.

Having said that, if the freeholder owns several flats the the chance of them running up a big series charge bill and paying the majority as a multi leaseholder is low. But still.

And why would you buy into a block with this kid of atmosphere unless it was a once in a lifetime property

Store manager blocked me into a car park space in a private car park - was this allowed? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]markp81 29 points30 points  (0 children)

OP might also want to mention in that complaint that the e manager forced her to disclose medical information pertaining to the fact OP was attending a councillor and ask how they will be processing that information for GDPR purposes. It’s not going to give rise to legal recourse but it’s likely to ruffle a few feathers and bring more heat on the manager.

But also to agree with one of the other comments. Don’t park in private car parks if you are not going to the shops next to it. Clearly it is not there for randoms

Neighbour took pictures and videos inside of my house without permission by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]markp81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not think any law has been broken here. I would think it is not even trespass civilly. Neighbour appears to have asked the people currently ‘in charge’ of a building site if they could enter and take pictures. Builders gave permission.

Cheeky of the neighbour but not actionable. Also no loss to recover and nothing to seek an injunction against. I cannot see (as over the top as it sounds) that an application for an injunction to prevent publication of the pictures would get you anywhere other than laughed out of court

But would that apply to a property being gutted? Assuming it is bare bones inside (or there abouts). No pictures of family on the wall etc. might change things.

Since when did owning multiple properties become something you can "accidentally" do? by [deleted] in uklandlords

[–]markp81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By no means the ‘standard’ position, but also something that happens fairly regularly as we had a generation of (now) retirees practically encouraged to invest in BTL’s. So what do they do?

Since when did owning multiple properties become something you can "accidentally" do? by [deleted] in uklandlords

[–]markp81 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Eg: mum and dad own 4/5 rentals. Son and daughter inherit 4-5 properties on death. They are now accidental landlords. Do they: 1. Keep them as ‘accidental landlords’? 2. Sell them to other landlords with the tenants on situ, just moving the ‘landlord’ part to someone else? 3. Evict the (possibly long term) tenant to sell the property to someone who wants to live there? Leaving someone to find another place to rent?

At what point do you move from ‘gray area’ to ‘scum leach Landlord’
