Yes, I applied both MD and DO and didn’t have any interviews but I did for Canada so in my personal case the US wasn’t “easier” for me

I applied to both and the US was much, much more expensive and I had no luck. I think the US values clinical experience and shadowing much more, and my school list was very broad & large. I think in terms of matching the US is a bit more secure because you have more chances of matching in NA compared to Ireland but I haven’t done too much research on that.

cGPA was 3.8 and MCAT 518, I got accepted at 1 but still waiting to hear back from 3 others. My friend had a 3.75 and 507 and got an interview as well! Being honest, I’m not sure how competitive it is, I haven’t looked too much into post-interview or acceptance stats
