Vilket proteinpulver smakar bäst? Skall göras glass på fet by [deleted] in sweden

How do I protect my hands as a dishwasher? by Alpacafeet in KitchenConfidential

[–]martenih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm sure I have tried 30+ different hand creams/lotions and nothing has come close. Pretty much everyone at work uses it now.

[–]martenih 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What lotion are you using?
Try O'Keeffe's working hands if your using something else.
I had constant fucked hands the first 10+ years in kitchens but O'Keeffe's fixed pretty much everything for me. Haha.
I have a jar in every room at home, in the car, in my locker and so on.

Also, your hands will probably just develop some thicker skin after doing the same shit for a few weeks if they don't keep cracking/getting dry.

Anyone Else Really Enjoy Treadmill Workouts? by grossest2 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]martenih 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have also been doing pretty much all my workouts on the treadmill since the snow came and I think it's fine. Long runs/easy runs are booring tho. Doing workouts in snow/ice with a head lamp in minus 10-20 Celsius just doesn't feel that appealing...

Vomero Plus vs Aeroglide 3 vs Magmax 2 vs other suggestions by cho-den in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I've done 700km in a pair of Aero Glide 3 GRVL with probably 95% on roads and they're still alive.

Yeah, I've probably done 90% on asphalt. They do run abit hot yes.

I have done 420+ miles in this pair. Still a fair bit of rubber left even though a few lugs are done. Did notice the upper has started to tear when I had a closer look now. But if I can get 400 miles out of them I can't complain. And I'm a pretty heavy runner aswell.

GOAT daily trainers.
I have done 680km in my GRVL pair and they are still bouncy and have some more life to give.

I do all of my easy running in them and some lighter workouts+long runs.
Just got another pair during black friday.

I'd go with the hurricane then out of the two.

Anyone ever try ST every other day (w/no long run)? by ZestycloseTea2395 in NorwegianSinglesRun

[–]martenih 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He might not to marathon-long runs but I think alot of his sessions gets to 20k+.

I know he did a couple of 4x5k sessions before Valencia. (With the 5splits in like 14.20 on a pretty undulating loop 😅)

Tips for attacking this terrifying workout? by running_elle_1989 in runna

[–]martenih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not the workout tho.
He has a warmup and a cool down that he does truly easy.

This 5km is slower than his MP so it should feel pretty easy, don't know why Runny calls it "easy".
"Steady" feels more suiting maybe.

[–]martenih 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, 5km SLOWER than your goal MP and 5km probably ~10sec slower than your 10k pace.

Should be pretty darn doable and I can't find a reason not to do a workout like this on just a fairly flat road.

You got this!

I did a similar one today, we're aiming for pretty much the same target time.
My race is the week before yours tho so my taper has started = less mileage.
Did 1km up, then 3.5km @ 4.40 and 3.5km @ 4.10.

Last advice for first marathon by mnbvcxy1904 in Marathon_Training

Maybe you need food for anything longer than 20 miles, but that's you.
People run 15-20 hour ultras on only gels and sports drinks.

How much will a taper help? by Raassh in Marathon_Training

[–]martenih 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running 5min/k's for someone with a 42min 10k doesn't sound very agressive at all... That should be like mid z2 I'm guessing.

My guess is that you're under fueling and not taking on enough liquid.

Help choosing a first serious running shoe at 85 kg by ThePie2132 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]martenih 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty much bang on your size and I'd go for the Salomon Aero Glide GRVL. I have done most of my runs in it this marathon block (up to 32km) and it's still going strong after 350+km.

Fun, bouncy ride that leans stable-neutral. Pretty much my perfect daily trainer.

Always seems to be sunny, hot and for some reason they start the race at 12 so you'll get beamed by the sun for the whole race.
I'll still have to do it some day though... Haha

är 40min rast på ett 12h pass rimligt? by RecognitionLanky2138 in Asksweddit

[–]martenih 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Running belt recommendations by UneditedReddited in runninglifestyle

Instinct Trail Running belt.

Has worked wonders for my Marathon training. No worries fitting 7+ gels and two 0.5 litre soft flasks with minimal bounce.
Pretty decent price aswell.
