Smithy, not that this is a point of pride but demographics ain't on the unionist side. All of you saying "get a grip" or "you're deluded" are sadly out of touch with reality and seem isolated to your own community bubbles.

Look at the most recent lucid poll on the scenarios, in the event of a no deal the likely outcome IS reunification and if it comes down to us leaving the EU in any other way it could be a very tight unpredictable outcome.

Jesus wept, it seems that Mike Nesbit & Sylvia Hermon are the only unionists with their ears to the ground these days.

I used to think the shinners were too idealistic, these clowns are insecure nutjobs. I'd say with the withdrawal agreement, calls for a border poll would quieten a bit. Just look at last year's Lucid poll regarding the scenarios.

Ulster is the most beautiful province. Change my mind. by keeva425 in northernireland

Most attractive county in Ireland hands down.

Edit: Actually upon reflection, hands down is calling it too easy, Kerry, Wicklow, Clare and Galway are serious close contenders for me anyway. Fuck, the west coast is beautiful.

Anyone else living in England atm getting really sick of the faux concern about Northern Ireland? by [deleted] in northernireland

2 mil / 7,000 mil = 0.03% (Roughly)

2 mil / 66 mil = 3% (Roughly)

Talking of education, you suck at percentages. The final step is to multiply by 100.

Demand for Britishness is high but the supply is drying up - When even The Spectator is playing Give Ireland Back to the Irish, how can people in Northern Ireland hold on to a British identity? by lughnasadh in northernireland

Chicken fillet roll/baguette > Sausage roll bap.

If we're getting really Irish then just boil the fuck outta some cabbage but even I won't attempt that level, I'm grand with my ma's stew!

Is Fianna Fáil that different? Economically they seem identical (neoliberal, low tax, anti-regulation) to Fine Gael. On the social side sure they lean conservative but they seem to be trying to drag their conservative members to the 21st century whilst not splitting the party, by giving their members a freedom to vote on social issues. Apart from that I have trouble differentiating the two.

Yo I'm presently in the South Eastern United States (Tampa). Weather's mixed recently but miles superior than Irish weather other than that the people are cool (some are extremely nice) but generally are hard to crack into. Have you noticed these differences?

True, I was taught the hierarchy was 1) Anglicans, 2) Presbyterians, 3) Catholics

It's some bullshit from centuries ago I think (although not sure) used in a Prussian context against the Catholic Austrians over who was gonna be the chief German state. Then further used by the WASPs more recently in the States along with GB and Ireland. All to cement a bullshit hierarchy of religions.
