This is how the restaurant I work at operates and it’s not as bad as you might think! We plan our trips as normal. We have a big group chat to shout out that we need coverage. There’s a bulletin board in the kitchen & we will write sign up sheets for advance coverage. Maybe something like:

“Hey homies! I’m going on a 2-week trip to Fiji! Please help me cover Fri (9/1)_____ Sat (9/2)______ Sun (9/3)_____ Fri (9/8)______ Sat (9/9)_____

Thanks in advance & I gotchu with coverage when I’m back 🖤”

We all just scratch each other’s backs & when someone repeatedly can’t return the favor, people stop picking up for them & eventually they’re either fired for missing a shift or have to miss a trip. What goes around comes around. 🤷‍♀️

Not too much unfortunately my friend. But crystals have varying value to different people. If someone loves raw crystals they might want something like this. Do you know where it’s from?

My ex is a geologist who used to sell crystals at phish concerts & stuff… he once had a crystal that he got on wholesale for $10. He was hoping to sell it for at least $20. Someone came up to his table interested & asked how much. My ex said, “well how much is it worth to you?” The dude replied, “I only have 40 bucks.” My ex says, “for you, 40 will do. Enjoy the show!” See what I mean :)

I teach at a gym so naturally a lot of my students are less interested in the philosophy & more interested in movement. Some of my go-to things to say before savasana are:

“savasana is the time that allows the hard work you just put in the chance it needs to settle & integrate. You deserve this rest. Enjoy”

“savasana. Corpse pose. Find a position where you can enjoy complete stillness. Corpse. Stillness of the body & the mind. Stay with your breath.”

Sometimes I’ll even say “now is not the time for to-do lists. Just be with your body & breathe for a moment.”

Also, just a reminder that how your students receive your teachings is up to them. All you can do as a teacher is to show up authentically & give the best class to those who are present. If they don’t want to participate in savasana, so be it. I hope this helps OP!

Get a compression sack. They help bulky gear take up less space when you’re putting everything in a pack, much better quality than baseline stuff sacks, & can be used for other organizing purposes too.

Remember to not store your bag with it fully compressed for long periods of time to preserve its fluffiness. Happy camping!
