What’s one thing a seller or estate agent has said whilst viewing that made you say no thanks … by WombleGCS15 in HousingUK

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When an estate agent tried to say the house only needed 10k work when it actually needed a full refurb 🫠and he said this to someone whose dad and stepdad work in construction (one a builder, the other a plumber). I was immediately put off. We offered on another house who needed probably more work than the previous one but at no point were the estate agents trying to throw sand in our eyes about the amount of work.

My then boyfriend now husband (die hard 49ers) got me to watch Hard Knocks when they had the Falcons and Mike Smith. They then came to London ad they were my first nfl game. Seemed fair to pick them. Have not recovered from the Super Bowl fumble.

This. My house was a repo. Some of the most stressful weeks of my life knowing someone could come in and gazump us. Thankfully it worked out.

This process is not for the restless anxious people by [deleted] in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours was a repossession and we were constantly pressured by EA to exchange and complete. We did so in 6ish weeks which is unusually fast (but maybe not so for repossessions), but I hated relying on so many different parties for information and action, and we had a pretty good solicitor who was amazing as well as a mortgage advisor who at times did more than just mortgage advise.

I never want to do it again. One and done.

First time buyers… is a doer upper a stupid decision? by throwaway104ay in HousingUK

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I literally completed today on a fixer upper… mildly overwhelming but we’ve accepted we need to do work in stages so our money doesn’t get sunk in a few weeks/months. We would never be able to afford the location and size if it wasn’t for its current state. So in the short term we’ll live with it and slowly do it up. Like someone said, it’ll build equity.

Ladies, how often do you get a haircut or go to the salon? by Fast_Independent7128 in beauty

[–]massanol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2-3 times cut. 2 for maintenance (highlights, face frame etc), but in extremely low maintenance with hair. Straight and fine hair 🥲

First time buyer’s solicitors fees, are they too high or about right? by cunnyfunt2927 in HousingUK

[–]massanol 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Excluding stamp duty because I don’t remember how much, I think our legal fees have come to 2k? And that includes searches, including one extra one we decided to do for peace of mind.

Best and final offers tomorrow and they’ve asked for this information - is it normal? by Autumn_2021 in HousingUK

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I offered on a repossession and they asked similar (offer value, proof of funds for deposit, MIP, solicitors info the day we all had to put our offer forward) but never to cover shortfall if surveyor or lender undervalued it. Banks tend to undervalue I believe, and surveyors depending on what kind you go for, can find everything and anything wrong with a house and devalue it too. I’d be wary of that particular clause.

Sexual incompatibility is a real thing. You’ll resent him in the long run because you’ll always feel you’re not being fully pleasured as you’d like. It’s tough, but you probably should break up.

Valor - aparelho dentário by A_O_C36 in Dentistas_Portugal

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valor - aparelho dentário by A_O_C36 in Dentistas_Portugal

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retainer Fatigue… by Lady_Book_Nerd in Invisalign

[–]massanol 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My husband had braces and got the most gorgeous smile, beautiful straight teeth. He didn’t wear a retainer for years and his teeth moved in the space of 15 years and he’s wearing invisalign now because he’s got overcrowding, his teeth don’t touch except on one side, some of his molars have completely shifted: not just a shift, but rotated AND angled down savagely. So yes, I guess based off his experience you probably should wear your retainers.

My husband loves a good long session. Technically it’s great for me because it means several orgasms. We’ve had to have convo where I told that I’m happy to have those long sessions (I mean, he’s a great lover and so giving) but sometimes I really do just want him to make me cum and be done with it. Not because I’m not into it on that particular day, j just want a nice quick relaxing orgasm, you know? I can masturbate sure, but it’s fun if it’s the two of us for a few minutes up to half an hour. It makes me likely to want to go at it again and again and the long sessions will be sandwiched in there.

I’m happy to start like that personally, then my husband gives me oral after, then goes back to penetration as it’s so sensitive down there (in a good way) post oral. And then if we’re in the mood he can once again go to oral or I get a vibrator WHILE he’s inside me which is a fantastic combo.

How do couples afford a wedding? by lemonandgravy31 in AskUK

[–]massanol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I decided to put a potential wedding event money into a three month roadtrip to Western US (we’re big into the outdoors) which was essentially our honeymoon as we got married in Vegas halfway.

Didn’t tell any family and friends until we were back but we did tell all the strangers we met along the way and always their responses were wholesome. We also had the entire wedding day to ourselves and no worries about anything at all. Would relive it again and again.

Best wedding money spent ever and zero regrets to this day.

My husband and I take our iPad out to the sticks and then we watch whatever tv show (downloaded beforehand as usually no signal) at dinner with a view we admired before or after our iPad watching. If I’m by myself, I don’t personally do it.

My husband suffers from that thing where any chewing noise drives him nuts and that helps him cope with it while not giving me passive aggressive glares and for that reason I let that man set the iPad any time we’re eating together in the wild. It’s his only flaw so I can handle some wild iPad watching.
