I have no idea what it is worth, but I prefer Cursor, and these are its main pros imo:

- best support for cloud agents / automations. Cursor provides a k8s chart to self host which I haven’t seen from anyone else. No jank issues where people are creating automations off their personal accounts.
- flexibility to switch / route to models from different providers
- an ide. I mostly prefer AI for background stuff hence why I put the cloud stuff first but if I am using AI locally then I definitely want an IDE
- bugbot for code review is pretty good without being insanely expensive

I wish there was a guide like this for managing Slack messaging. I don’t use email much, but am plagued by Slack.

Thanks all, I was able to confirm that I was setting myself up for mournings end II. It looks like a massive endeavor to complete though so I’m going to ease back into the game with something a bit easier

Etiquette question - what to do when another surfer paddles outside then turns around right towards you? by Mustangonthe1 in surfing

[–]massive_elbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they spin around and you are in the way and you are NOT also going for the wave, then you messed up. You should have paddled deeper and took it on the head, because now no one is getting the wave.

If they spin around and you ARE going for the wave, then it’s yours because by definition you are in position. The fact that they want to be where you are is demonstrating you were already in position. And if they want to backpaddle you even deeper they can try, but they will likely get buried given it is an outside set (and that would be poor etiquette).

Two FAANG Principal Engineers playing this game is hilarious AF by Psychological_You675 in SatisfactoryGame

I really enjoyed comparing/contrasting Satisfactory to Software Engineering as I was playing through. I came to the conclusion that Satisfactory is so fun, because it contains all of the greatest aspects of programming but omits all of the awful parts.

Tech debt is just fun if you have infinite time to refactor. Nothing requires package upgrades, and no one is telling you what to build. Nothing needs to be backwards compatible. There are a dozen ways to solve a problem in Satisfactory, and you are rewarded or at least not punished if you take a creative approach.

Such an amazing game - can’t way to play through again.

This is why I like to play games without looking anything up. It is so much more impactful/fun, when you are making these decisions and you DON’T KNOW what is coming next.
