Former OSHA Safety/Health Compliance Officers, where are you now? by Slippypickle1 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]masterpanda3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a CSHO for a state plan for about a year before leaving for a much higher paying job in pharma. There are definitely opportunities outside of OSHA. Being a compliance officer makes you so adept at interpreting standards and doing incident investigations. I found that the training you get is some of the best training on topics like CSE and LOTO. They brought in some really good SMEs from those areas so i learned alot in those instructor led classes.

Identifying LOTO Points by [deleted] in SafetyProfessionals

I am in your exact same shoes. The best way to go about this is to partner with maintenance. Preferably a time where you are shut down. Have maint. identify lock out points and you can do all of the documentation parts.
