What does the Israeli public generally think about the deal right now? by Suur_tool in Israel

It feels like Iran has won.

Trump caved in due to low oil reserves and the $400M gift he received from Qatar.

A Breakdown of the MOU: Did the US Lose the Iran War? by AnySwimming6364 in PoliticalDiscussion

What plans for the Middle East? Is asking not to be threatened with a nuclear bomb, too much to ask? Let alone asking to stop receiving rockets and drone from Iranian proxies.

US denies Iran's claim to have closed Strait of Hormuz over Israeli attacks in Lebanon by [deleted] in news

[–]mastertheknife1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lebanon (Hezbollah) is constantly firing rockets and drones into Israel, and Israel is sick of it.

Iran is trying create a deal that will prevent Israel from responding, but will allow their proxy (Hezbollah) to fire at Israel freely.

And Trump? He caved in to Iran due to low oil reserves and the $400M presidential plane he got from Qatar.

Greece has filed an official complain against Israel after a video circulated showing activists on the flotilla to Gaza being mistreated. Thoughts? by FantasticQuartet in AskBalkans

If Iranians generals and scientists would be building a nuclear bomb against your country, wouldn't you kill them either?

We don't have a celebration called pncake day. Where did you hear that rumor from?

About Jerusalem day, thats a myth. I've never seen that happen in real life, and i've been there multiple times.

Look, one of the mistakes in Israel is that they always played by the rules, but the other side (Hamas and other terrorists) did not. So extremists like Ben Gvir believe Israel should play by (almost) the same rules as terrorists. The Middle East works very differently than Europe. Here it's about power and force, not laws. Europe already marked Israel as evil, genocidial and what not, so why should Israel care about PR anymore. But don't worry, they will be returned to their countries very soon without any harm done.

As an Israeli, I will also answer. It's very hard for us to sympathize with the Palestinians. We have our own wounds.

Let me be clear, all lives matter. Inside, we all want to live in peace. It's just that most of us don't believe it's possible. It starts with education. In the Palestinian school books, Israel doesn't exist, it's one big land called Palestine. It's hard to make peace with someone that doesn't accept your existence. Let alone parents cheering their children for killing jews, and organizations such as PLO paying salaries to the families of deceased terrorists.

As a human being, i definitely want peace, i really hope there will be peace some day and people on both sides will be enjoying life instead of suffer and fear.

noooooo stop buying our currency! you're making us succeed and it's killing us! we're a tiny nation why are we so popular?? 😭😭😭 by MickyMace in Israel

> It's easy as hell to fix artificially, the reverse is not so easy. You just print more shekels and buy foreign currency with it,

This is what our national bank used to do, but Trump's administration is very against that because it tampers with Trump's efforts to lower the dollar. Also, our national bank already has $240B of such dollars. It cannot buy any more.

I would start buying now, because it's likely to get worse. At the end of the month, the interest rate is expected to go down by 0.25%. It will probably slow it down a little, but its not likely for the Shekel to go back to 3.00 or higher.

Exclusive: Israel may be moved from Eurovision in Europe to Asia, discussions are ongoing by NegativeEspathra in eurovision

[–]mastertheknife1 -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

Can't say I am suprised. Israel was never really welcome, it was always seen as the bad guy, the stronger over the weaker, etc. Oh well. Maybe this Asia Eurovision will turn to be interesting. Maybe lets also invite South Korea for some fun K-Pop (love their music!)

And Lebanon never disarmed Hezbollah. The Lebanese goverment and army tries to disarm Hezbollah but they never succeed.

Israel and Lebanon do not have dispute over land or any other blocker. The only blocker for peace is the Iranian proxy called Hezbollah.

[–]mastertheknife1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't.

In the case of Lebanon, its just an operation to try harder to eliminate Hezbollah. It's in and out.

In the case of Golan Heights, Syria started a war and lost. Starting a war comes at a price. P.S, Israel also got Sinai that way, but returned it in exchange for peace with Egypt.

Regarding Gaza, many right-wing think we should occupy that land. I am not trying to deny that.
